The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Nitro. The contact stated that the engine sporadically failed without warning. It usually takes approximately thirty seconds before the vehicle will restart. The dealer stated that the abs signaled the engine to fail. The dealer repaired the abs. Nine months later, while driving at an unknown speed, all of the warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel and the vehicle failed. The manufacturer stated that there were no recalls for that component, but she could take the vehicle to a local dealer for inspection. The failure mileage was 7,000 and current mileage was 13,792.
