Front Seat Belt Anchorage problems of the 1996 Dodge RAM

Two problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1996 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 07/10/1999

The seat belts in the rear cab of the truck have failed. They do not lock when the two pieces are attached. I can put the latch in and it will not stay locked. It unsnapps and the children cannot use the belts. These are located in the middle and passanger side of the truck in the rear. This is a safety concern and would like to have it checked out.

2 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 09/19/1998

While at a stop light another vehicle hit the consumer from behind the seat belts disconnected from the anchors, causing injury to the consumer and children. Please provide further information.
