Car Stall problems of the 1999 Dodge RAM

Two problems related to car stall have been reported for the 1999 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2003

Consumer complained previously to dealer about water and salt splashing onto motor due to lack of a motor guard. Dealer advised consumer that if guard was installed warranty would be voided. The vehicle's fuel rails were corroded and the consumer was very concerned they will break, and spew gas over engine and cause a fire.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2001

Intermittently vehicle will accelerate suddenly and then stall out and die without warning. Dealer has not been able to duplicate or correct problem. Consumer stated the vehicle has been into dealer at least 5 times.
