Two problems related to manual transmission have been reported for the 1999 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Transmission continuously "slips" out of first gear, when attempting to launch after a stop light, or shifting from reverse to first. Following each and every start, the transmission will "slip" out of first gear.
I have owned this truck for less than 1 year and fifth gear has gone out 5 times. I previously had a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup and after fifth gear going out four times I had to replace the whole transmission. My son owns a 1998 Dodge Ram pick up and has had to replace the transmission and fifth gear twice. What is wrong? please help us.
