Tire Tread/belt problems of the 1999 Dodge RAM

Two problems related to tire tread/belt have been reported for the 1999 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Tire Tread/belt problem

Failure Date: 08/25/2000

Consumer was traveling about 75mph on highway and had cruise control on. She heard a ticking/ banging vehicle was thrown into median strip of oncoming traffic. Consumer was able to pull over to shoulders. Then she noticed that driver's front tire tread had separated from vehicle. Tire was b. F. Goodrich. There were no injuries. Tire size lt285/75r16.

2 Tire Tread/belt problem

Michelin all season tire p245/75r16 dot lt24575r16 experienced blowout while consumer was driving 15mph around a corner close to a curb, vehicle only had 20000 miles on it, after inspection of the other tires, they too had chunks of tread coming off of the tires.
