Three problems related to vehicle speed control have been reported for the 2001 Dodge RAM. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle will start to rev up to 5500 rpms, and then vehicle will shut off. Contacted dealer, and the dealer cannot find cause.
Vehicle will surge when while consumer was changing gears from second to third. Contacted dealer,and dealer stated that it was normal for vehicle to do that.
When letting go off acclerator vehicle will surge. This happens when coming to a complete stop or just slowing down. Contacted dealer, and dealer will look into it.
