Front Seat Recliner Problems of Dodge RAM

While driving consumer heard a knocking noise coming from the front driver's side. When the vehicle was parked driver's side seat became detached from the bottom of the floor, no anchorage or bolt was holding the seat in position. Consumer drove vehicle to dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the seat needed to be replaced. This vehicle was not on recall and consumer would be charged for repairs.

Whenever the brakes are depressed driver's side seat shifts. Dealer replaced the seat once already but, eight months later, another seat needed replacement.

Driver's seat rocks back & forth when accelerating & stopping. Seems to be prevalent on all 2002 Dodge Rams. Dt.

Vehicle was rearended. Upon impact driver's seatback collapsed into rear seat, resulting in minor injury. Manufacturer has been notified, and will look into the matter.

Driver's side seatback broke off from bottom of seat, causing driver to fall into back seat.

While driving on interstate 75 (with the cruise control set)the driver side seat back broke completly off of the seat bottom causing me to fall backward into the rear of the vehicle and momentarily lose control of the vehicle. I was able to regain control of the vehicle without causing an accident but a less experenced driver might have been in trouble. Dodge has so far refused to repair the seat and I have been told that this problem is normal wear and tear for which I am responsible to repair at my own cost. I belive that this is a manufacturer defect and should be repaired by the manufacturer.

Driver side seatback bolt which supports the seatback has broken, causing the seat to recline in the rest position. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer refused to replace parts. Contacted manufacturer, failed to respond.

Front seat backs collapsed while in accident, injuring occupants.

When pushing up on lever located on the backs of driver's/passenger's seats, fingers are pinched, causing blisters.

The seat back will easily move forward when it is pushed, equipped with extended cab. Tt.

Front passenger and the drivers seat will lock into place will fall forward at any given time. Tt.

When the brakes are applied the passenger's seat will slide to the front of the vehicle. The owner has had vehicle repaired.

Whenever brakes are applied front driver's seat will slide back and forward. Dealer has been contacted.

Vehicle was at a stand still was was rear ended in which both driver's side and passenger's side seatback bolts broke, causing seat to fall backwards in the reclininng position, and causing injuries to both driver side and passenger side occupants. Please provide any further details.
