Seats Problems of Dodge RAM

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram. The seat belt does not retract properly, and when it does, it will not secure the occupant. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the technician stated the gears in the retractor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 34,000.

Consumer for second time is having a hard time locking seat in place on passenger's side. Consumer has to slam seatback to lock, otherwise it slides back and forth. Seat will lock, but seat will not retract. Vehicle is under warranty.

Consumer states the passenger side seat mechanism was broken. This caused the seat to not be stable while driving. The seat would rock back and forth.

There is no support d in river's seat for left thigh and buttocks. The seat slants towards the door. Consumer has contacted dealer and manufacturer.

The metal plate inside the seat closest to the driver's door that allows the back of the seat to pivot forward protrudes through the seat fabric exposing a sharp point that has ripped 6 pairs of my pants on the left rear pocket (and cut into a leather wallet) when sitting down in the seat. The reason I had so many pairs of pants ripped is that it took several months for me to realize exactly "what" was causing the rips. Had it not been for having my wallet in my left pocket I would have surely sustained a laceration on my left buttock. I currently have about 12 layers of duct tape covering the hole that the point protrudes through. Would like to have the manufacturer replace the seat and $300 worth of pants.

20/40 front driver and passenger seat can be folded foward easily without unlatching them . There is no safety device to keep seat from going foward.

Front seat slides on its own while vehicle is in motion.

Front passenger seat failed to remain locked in position with a passenger sitting in it. When brakes were applied passenger's seat would go forward, causing passenger to hit dashboard and into windshield. Contacted manufacturer, and was informed too many miles on vehicle to do anything.
