Head light switch will not turn lights on an off, does not matter if stationary or in motion.
I'm always having issues with the airbag light coming on while driving it goes away then come back when there is a sudden move and causes something to trigger. Also, I'm having issues with my headlight low mode not working I did a lot of research stating that many people are having the same issue and the problems have to do with the fuse box close to the battery. I'm also having an issue with the brake lamp going off on my dashboard not sure what that could be tried so many repairs and nothing seems to work.
High beams will not work only low beams work while running down highway.
Tipm issue: low beam on driver's side went out while driving at night in a rural area; after buying 3 new bulbs @ $16/each with no luck, having system scanned by auto parts store with no luck, took to a dealer who said it was a know tipm issue and would cost upwards of $1,200 to fix, however part is on backorder due to the number of trucks needing them; flashing the system apparently was not an option; commented it was not a recall item as it was not a safety concern. How are losing your lights unexpectedly not a safety concern, not to mention the rest of the issues this tipm is known to cause after this one. . . It is the brain of the entire truck. I am now driving with high beams on praying the rest of the computer system is not in jeopardy while trying to resolve.
My truck has been having safety issues over time. Most recently having over-heating issues and engine problems since February 2018. The electrical issues happened since last year, dashboard no longer lights up. My one of my front head lights no longer lights up. Ive changed it several times and it still goes out. My driver seat beat no longer buckles.
After owning a Dodge 1500 2006 mega cab for 4 years had to replace the multi function switch it stopped working had no wipers high beams or signals. 5 years later have the same thing happen seems like an on going problem with these switches. When the don't work make it a safety issue due to no wipers, signals, or high beams. . .
Wire harness in rear driver side door was found completely severed inside boot from frame to door. Effects window, door locks, dome light operation, and speaker. Presence of voltage can cause fire if aching occurs.
Winding noise at low speed also have problem with head light it don't turn on (driver side ) directional door for a/c heather broken.
Right low beam fails to light. Bulb has been replaced. Socket is good. Failure is in tipm. Appears to be a common problem in 06 to 08 Dodge trucks. Dealer charge $750 to $900 to replace and reprogram tipm unit. This is an extravagant charge for an item that should last the life of the vehicle.
While sitting at a red light turned on the left blinker and after a few seconds the blinker switched to blinking for the right both inside in the dash and outside at the front and rear and the indicator switch was still in the left turn position very dangerous has happened several time since date shown.
2006 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. 132000 km. Indicated left but right indicator light came. Now also both sides flash intermittently when indicating either direction. Nearly had a major accident when following vehicle misintepreted my intentions and just missed overtaking me on the wrong side. I understand several other cases of this have been reported on this vehicle and should be a n urgent safety recall!.
My 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 is having issues with the signals and wipers. Serious problem when I am driving in the rain and my left blinker says I'm turning right and vice versa. Wipers not working at all. I was caught in the rain today and manually had to flip my wipers and signals almost caused a wreck.
My husband has a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. He is in iraq and only home every 4 months. I do not drive his truck except to the mail box and back once a week to keep the battery going. About 6 months ago the wipers did not want to work. It was not all the time. We thought maybe a glitch. Then it was the blinkers. Sometimes they would not come on at all and others the opposite blinker would come on. But since he is only home for 2 weeks and it would only happen once or twice we didn't think about it. Now the wipers will not come on at all and when you turn the left blinker on the right one comes on. I did not realize it until I was nearly hit by some one trying to pass me on my left while I was trying to make a left turn. I got online to see if there was already a recall for this and saw there are many people with this same complaint. The only TSB I can find is for the Dodge ram 3500. Also when driving over 50mph the truck will shake violently when you press the brakes. The harder you have to press the brakes the harder the truck shakes. We have replaced the brake pads, calipers, and had the rotors turned. This is costing too much money for maybes and it is scary when you are on the high way in rush hour traffic when this starts happening.
When u turn the signals on they go the opposite way or completely go off it causes the break lights to go out as well this is a major safty issue and can result in a crash this should have been recalled along time ago why havnt you done anything I my self feel this is a major safty issue it gives everyone a false direction and results "wreck" I have had multiple incidents with this it happens frequently I have replaced bulbs and it is not the problem the problem is in the factory screw up.
The interior light stays on for mere seconds, then shuts off. This is the interior light that turns on when the door is opened or the push button to turn on is pushed. After a few seconds, the light shutsvoff.
Front light module failed at 37,122 miles, front lights failed with no advance notice. Part was order by the Dodge dealer, they didn't have it in stock, 1 and 1/2 month waiting for part and was not covered by warranty.
Driver side low beam head light does not work. Bulb replaced, continued to not be operational. Took to Chrysler/Dodge deal, who connected a 'code' reader which indicated the problem was the tipm. Tipm was not replaced due to cost & the vehicle was out of warranty due to mileage.
On my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 I hit a pot hole in the road I thought that it just blowed the bulb I replaced the bulb that did not help the light burns on high beam but not low beam mechanic told me it could be the control module have not replaced pot hole should have not caused that to malfuntion. Problem is still there. Also heater /ac blower motor went out now I have one speed and that's high speed I replaced the motor.
