My truck's turn signal has malfunctioned and when your signaling to go left the rear left turn signal would not activate including the left rear flashers. Several months ago the dealer reflashed my tipm and it did resolved the issue temporarily. What had happened was that the same incident occured but instead when activating the left turn signals it would start working for a couple seconds before jumping activating the opposite turn signal (rightside) almost causing a near collision with other vehicles out on the roadways. I am very frustrated and I don't have $1,000. 00 to have the dealer replace my tipm which I've found via online on several Dodge forums stating that it will definitely rectify and fix the issue.
The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. While the contact was driving approximately 55 mph approaching a turn, the right turn signal was engaged; however the left turn signal responded. The turn signal will intermittently malfunction, causing the right indicator to blink though the lever is in the down position which when operational should signal the left indicator. This is a serious safety concern for myself as I have had multiple instances where I'm positioned in the left turn lane attempting to execute a left turn and signaling to oncoming traffic my intentions only to have the right blinker activate and cause traffic to stop abruptly in the lane I just exited. I am not only exposing myself to a rear end collision but I am also exposing the unsuspecting driver being incorrectly signaled to the same potential fate. The inability to caution oncoming traffic of my intentions also creates a potentially hazardous situation in that my turn could startle them causing them to turn sharply or stop abruptly. Both could have detrimental impact provided the conditions are less than perfect in a state that commonly has severe winter weather.

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 left turn signal turns on right turn signal as well. Almost caused huge accident on freeway. Found out this is a very common problem. Why is this not recalled? everyone is having this problem!!!!.
My 2006 Dodge ram truck turns on the wrong turn signal, for instance if I am making a right turn and I push the stalk up, the left turn signal turns on. This is an intermittent problem and sometimes my turn signals work and sometimes they do not. I also have the related problem that I have no control over my windshield wipers. When I turn them on, they will stay on for minutes at a time on a high speed and not turn off. Other times they will only go one or two times and shut off completely while it is pouring rain.
Right turn signal illuminates when left turn signal is activated and vise versa.
Driver's side turn signal intermittently does not work. Started when brake pedal was pushed. Works, then stops working when brakes are pushed and continues not to work after that. This is a safety issue and there are 100s if not 1,000s of people that have reported turn signal problems on the 2006 Dodge ram. My 2006 Dodge ram pick up has had intermitent problems with the wiper blades coming on, or not, slowing down or speading up with out assistance from the operator. Last week my turn signals started to act up. I turn the left signal on, it shows up inside and out as a right turn, or nothing at all. My emergency flashers are not working either. I had to turn them on and only the right blinker came on, then everything shut down. I can not count on making a lane change safely, I can not count on my wipers working in the rain, and if I have an emergency stop, I can not use my emergency flashers.

Currently my Dodge Ram 1500 is having a problem with the multifunction turn signal. If you try to signal a turn the wrong blinker comes on, if you try to turn your high beams on or off the washer fluid comes on, if you try to turn the windshield wipers on they rarely work often getting stuck in the intermittent phase. I first found this problem when my windshield wipers would not come on in a flash thunderstorm while I was traveling on a highway at 65 mph. This is going to cause an accident, if you look there are too many people having this same problem for Dodge to ignore it. If an accident occurs I will be taking any legal actions I can to make Dodge liable, I just hope that nobody is hurt or killed before it is too late.
This is a complaint about a malfunctioning blinker in my 2006 Dodge 1500 ram truck. I have been reading that there are numerous complaints about this happening. The blinker starts going left when you have it to turn right and vice versa. Its crazy and so dangerous! I took my truck in to see about getting it fixed and of course the warranty went out yesterday! I hope for others sake that this becomes a recall item! thank you.
My 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 had the turn signals fail. First when I told it to turn right, it blinked left. Then it stopped working. It rotates to whatever it wants randomly and usually shows an incorrect direction. I'm safer not using a turn signal than showing a left and going right. I can't use hand signals at night and most people don't understand why I'm putting my arm out the window anyway. This is a major safety issue on this vehicle. This occurs all the time now. It was intermittent (problematic for one trip) then it would fix itself for a few days. Dodge dealer says they don't know what is wrong or never heard of it.
The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. When the vehicle slowed down with the left signal on the right signal also came on. He stated at times they both began blinking intermittently. He was advised by the dealer to notify them the next time he took the vehicle in to be service so that they could order the part. The contact was unable to provide a VIN. The failure mileage was 86,500 and the current mileage was 87,300.

Turn signal problems. I turn on the turn signals and either they don't work or you never know which one will come on. Sometimes nothings works and other times you turn on a turn signal and the 4 ways come on. Today 5/13/10 while in heavy traffic I was going to make a right turn, put on the right turn signal and nothing worked, turned on the left signal and the right one came on. . Now I made my turn and I cant get turn signal to go off. Drove that way for 5 miles when turn signal went off by itself.
Turn signal malfunction. Left one would make the right turn signal come on, right turn signal would make the flashers come on.
When the left turn signal is activated, immediately the right turn signal engages. The failure occurs intermittently. I've contacted the dealership and was told there is nothing they can do because the vehicle is out of warranty and manufacturer has not made a recall on my vehicle. This is extremely dangerous especially when entering the interstate.
Turn signal malfunctions. When left turn is selected, sometimes right signal flasher comes on, sometimes no turn signal comes on, sometimes it works correctly. The problem is intermittent. When right turn signal is selected, right signal flasher works normally. The problem is very dangerous as I had someone pass me on the left while I was making a left turn because my right signal was on due to the malfunction.
When driving trying to change lanes I tried to signal right and my left turn signal came on then the turn signals were alternating back and forth. This has been happening on and off for quite a few years it will start working again then later break again.
Turn signal randomly flashes the opposite direction than indicated. Also will flash back and forth between left and right when either the left or right turn signal is turned on.
