1 Fuel Injection System Throttlebody/manifold problem of the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 03/27/2022

This aftermarket throttle body was on the truck when I purchased it 4 months ago. I live in georgia and bought the car in florida. In driving it home 400 miles, I noticed in stop and go traffic, the throttle was sticking. It would stick between 1500-2500 rpm with the clutch engaged (vehicle not in gear). I also noticed when I let off the throttle, I would continue my speed or even accelerate versus slowing down. I contacted bbk and they told me to ship it to them to be repaired, but that means I would be without my vehicle for weeks. Then I ask about this in a facebook group and it appears this is a common, known issue. Even people who have bought a "reconditioned" throttle body from bbk have this same issue. . Read more...
