Five problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at 40 mph applied the brakes and the brakes were hard, causing the consumer to rear end another vehicle.
Upon applying force to the brake pedal the vehicle pulls to the right. Consumer has contacted the dealer on 4 occasions and the dealer has yet to replace any parts.
The vehicle pulls/drifts to the left when braking urgently at all speeds, the rotors, drums, and tracking bar have been replaced twice but the problem still persists. Nlm.
Between Jan. 1998 through oct. 1999 vehicle has been through eight sets of brakes, front rotors turned three times, rear drums turned once, excessive wear of the brake components.
Brake pedal hard at times, no braking power on occasion.
