Two problems related to power assist brake have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
After stopping about 4 or 5 times had no vaccum assist on the brakes, causing driver to rear end another vehicle and damaging the front bumper. The dealer was aware of the problem, and stated that a larger vacuum tank could be installed to correct prolbem at owner's expense.
Vehicle serviced per recall for vacuum relief valve. Brake problems continue and has been determined to be a vacuum problem in the brake booster.
