Had a car pull out in front of me and air bags did not deploy in crash. Excessive front end damage, insurance totaled truck. Also had a friend 2 weeks prior involved in a crash with excessive front end damage, insurance totaled his truck and his air bags did not deploy. His truck was a 2006 Ram 3500. Does Dodge have an air bag problem in these trucks? seem to.

While driving through an intersection (west to east), I was struck on the left side of my vehicle, pushing me to the right into a traffic lane heading north where I then struck a vehicle head on causing front end damage. My air bags did not deploy on impact. This second vehicle was moving forward but slowing down at the time of impact to avoid the accident. I'm the original owner of my vehicle and have had no prior accidents.

I was involved in an automobile accident on 11/6/13. The 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 truck I was in was totaled due to the accident. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. My head hit the steering wheel and bent the steering wheel. My neck was broken in two places. I feel that if the air bags had deployed I would not have been hurt as seriously as I was hurt. I don't know if anyone else has had trouble with air bags not deploying but I do think someone needs to know about this problem and maybe no one else will be hurt as bad as I was hurt.

Air bags failed to deploy resulting in additinal injury $ 30,000 damage mostly to front of vehicle.
The dashboard on my 2003 Dodge 3500 quad cab had developed cracks which has split the dash into pieces directly in front of the passenger seat and directly over the passenger side airbag. The cracks and broken dash pieces will not allow the passenger side airbag to deploy properly in the event of a crash and not only will the airbag harm the passenger, the broken pieces of dash will be dangerous as well. This vehicle has been properly maintained, and is in good condition. The dash cracked and broke as a result of normal driving; the vehicle has never been in an accident. The dealer said that the vehicle is out of warranty and will not pay to replace the dash. Not only will the airbag not deploy properly due to the cracked and broken dash and threaten the passenger, it could also deploy in a manner hazardous to the driver. This is a defect many 2003-2005 Dodge 3500 truck owners have experienced and is widely discussed on internet forums. Dodge 3500 2003 model dashboards should be recalled and replaced by dealers because the defective dashes installed by Dodge are a high safety hazard for passengers and drivers as well due to the fact that they will not allow the passenger side airbag to deploy properly in the event of an accident. While I must include an incident date below this problem occurred and expanded over the course of 2010.

My daughter lost her left arm when it went through the driver's side window during a vehicle crash. She was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 dually. The airbags did not deploy and the front axle came off. I suspect a vehicle defect in the axle and airbags. I want to know why vehicles don't have safety glass in the side windows; how many people have lost limbs in this manner; and, how many 3500 Dodge ram vehicles have been involved in rollovers similar to this.
