Failure Date: 12/17/2001

The brake/shift interlock works intermittently. Seems to stop working when it rains. Won't let the car be taken out of park. Could leave someone stranded.

2 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Failure Date: 06/30/1999

Automatic transmission interlock system became inoperative. Anyone can move the automatic transmission without depressing the brake pedal, which may cause a vehicle to roll away.

3 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Failure Date: 01/01/1998

The interlock system malfunctioned. While driving the vehicle interlock system malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to stall and could potentially cause an accident.

4 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Safety feature on vehicle can be shifted (floor) without pressing brakes or accelerator pedal. Even if vehicle was not started or started can shift into gear. Took vehicle to dealer & was informed by mechanic that solenoid had broken, but not under warranty of safety related issues.
