Two problems related to transmission slip out of gear have been reported for the 1998 Ford Contour. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Whle driving in first gear transmission felt like it was slipping out of gear. The same happend when it was in third gear.
Intermittently while parked and the ignition off the vehicle will slip out of gear without any warning. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
