Horn Assembly Problems of Ford Contour

Horn is not working. . . . Have used the horn probably five times in five years and yet not working. Have car in the shop horn problem so far is not due to fuse or electrical. Next step will have to be replacement.

I bought a 1996 Ford Contour se in June of 2003. I have since replaced the water pump 4 times. I bought the car from a man who blew the engine becuase the water pump went and he let the car over heat. I have replaced it in oct. 2003,February 2004,June 2004,and Dec. 2004. It is really started to become a burden.

Several items first the dash bowed in from both sides,a month after picking the car up the air conditioner went out the dealership said my problem, the tires were bad we replaced them they are bad all the time have to be replaced more then a normal tire should , the car broke down last year on the highway again my problem the rotors and other things were bad somthing I as a consumer would not have known about , cannot get car inspected because the horn does not work and cannot be fixed due to airbag again my problem o yes was in a finder binder airbag did not work minor injries , the drivers seat rocks the rear seat belt will not work more problems this car is worth nothing I on;y drive to and from work in it and the way it is falling apart youd think I travel across country in it . . . This is not a good car to ever purchase will never buy from Ford again!!! srb this prblems have been on going from 2000-2003.

Airbag light is on/ horn, and cruise control are not working. Consuemr stated this was same problem as stated in recall 99 v 243 000. Consumer was scared that airbag may deploy in face.

Horn has not worked properly. Vehicle has been taken to the dealer on 3 different occasions. Dealer has not been able to remedy the problem. Horn has been replaced by dealer, but problem still occurs.

Ongoing problem with horn unable to operate properly when needed. Been in / out of dealer shop on two occasions, and problem could not be resolved. Dealer refused to do anything more.

There is a short within the electrical system, causing the horn, brinker's and brake light's not to work. Also, all the rubber has fallen off the door panel, and the driver's side shoulder belt doesn't retract.

When the horn is in use it fails to work properly when pressed. Has taken vehicle to dealer for repairs, which were not done. Had contacted the dealer, again, and was informed that parts had to be ordered.

When driving at any speed the air bag light keeps coming on, and the the horn doesn't work. Also, the horn is very hard when trying to press it. Dealer repaired the horn, and the problem is back, and they can't determine the problem.

Horn is inoperable. The dealer has inspected the vehicle.

In order to use the horn excessive pressure has to be applied to make it work. Sometimes it does not work at all. Dealer has replaced the contacts and problem still exists.
