Car has always stalled and I was told by a mechanic that it was because the car was made like a stick shift so it stalls at stop signs and lights sometimes. Now my car is stalling as I start going through lights and I was almost hit by a car from behind.

I feel that there should be a recall on the standard transmissions by Ford because there is defenitely something defective with this transmission.
