: the contact stated the transmission slipped out of gear between 10-50 mph. The engine revved when this occurred. The gear shifter is moved to a lower gear then back to drive, but the transmission does not go back into gear. The vehicle has not been seen by a mechanic.

While driving, the transmission would down shift on its own. The transmission would hesitate then shift. The driver was able to drive it to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the problem. Please fill in additional information. The consumer stated that the transmission indicator deteriorated and fans out therefore can not indicate what gear the transmission is in.

The tail lights became inoperable after four replacements. Also, the windshield wipers did not work in low gear, and the running lights malfunctioned. The electrical connector splice from the headlight switch opened. (the right side tail light was inoperative) the tail lights, front running lamps were out again, a fuse was bad and found some more wires in the trunk wired incorrectly, the dashboard lights and the license plate tail lights worked intermittently, there was a wiring short in the harness in the cowl area, there was a blown fuse in the exterior lighting, on another occasion, the #33 fuse was found open, the sunroof was inoperative due to a shorted motor, bad drive gear and two cables.

Transmission is gone. Vehicle will not go into gear. When put vehicle into first or second gear it makes a noise. Vehicle will not pull. Contacted dealer, and dealer stated transmission needed to be replaced.
Transmission breakdown, car would work in reverse only, not in forward gears. Car taken to dealer who informed owner that a component part broke down and damaged other parts. Dealer recommends replacing with a remanufactured transmission at significant cost.
Transmission does not recognize any gears. Vehicle was towed to dealer & dealer hasn't had a chance to find the cause of the problem. Vechicle is also idleing very high.
Consumer states automobile would not come out of gear. Car was stuck in park.
