Check Engine Light On Problems of Ford E-450

Pulled up to stop sign. When making right turn, onto interstate frontage road, throttle quit working, wrench ligh and check engine light came on. Coasted to side of road. Vehicle had to be towed in to Ford dealer. Was told electronic throttle control shut down vehicle, and throttle body would have to be replaced. Had it happened another minute latter it would have failed in the middle of an interstate highway.

Hesitation/no power after making a turn, primarily a left-hand but has happened also after a right-hand turn. The engine has never stalled or displayed fault codes or a check engine light on the dash. Ford has checked for this condition.

2005 Ford E-450. Consumer writes in regards to throttle body failure. The consumer stated the throttle body failed, without warning and there was no acceleration. Also, the check engine light illuminated. The throttle body was replaced at a cost of $ 682.

While driving at various speeds or turning the engine stalled. When this occurred the vehicle coasted to a complete stop. Dealership reprogrammed the computer twice, replaced the sensor on crank shaft, and checked the wiring in the engine compartment. But, problem recurred. Vehicle is currently at the dealership. The chassis is connected to a big foot mh30bb 2004 motor home. When the engine shot down it chimed and the lights came on indicating that water was in the fuel. Check engine light comes on then the engine died.
