Driving northbound on lake shore drive in chicago, illinois was accelerating on an incline and engine was racing but vehicle was losing power, made a popping noise, white smoke began billowing out of hood, lost all power was rolling to the nearest safety lane which was a turning lane just being opened by city workers when they said for me to get out of the car they saw flames coming out of the lower part of the engine.
