When driving my vehicle, the rpms sky rocket but won't change. It's not shifting gears as an automatic is supposed to. Also, the engine has been making a weird noise on and off and when we took it in, they turned it on and pressed the gas and said it was fine. Never had it on record or anything. The fuel pump went out about 23k and now the car is having the same issue at 50k with the fuel pump or the same symptoms as it did before having the car lunge forward or vibrate.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. While driving 48 mph, the contact noticed that the vehicle began to vibrate and a loud thumping sound was heard within the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested a few different options to try on the vehicle to see if any would remedy the failure. The dealer stated that none of the options were helpful in repairing the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that they did not know how to repair the failure. The contact stated that the windsheild wipers continued to get stuck in the middle of the windshield and were stuck together. The failure mileage was 62,795.
