I got a letter from Fords I could schedule recall. Now dealers say they dont have the part for the recall and don't know when they will get it in south carolina.
This is the second time in a year that the brakes in our vehicle have stopped working. The pedal goes all the way to the ground and does not completely stop the car. We had the issue dealt with last year at the dealership where we had our vehicle towed to. It was only then that we were notified that there was a recall on the hose that may affect the brakes and other functions of the vehicle. It was replaced. This has now happened a second time while my husband and 2. 5 year old were driving home. If he was not able to have some control over the vehicle he and my child could have been killed or someone else on the road. I called the dealership to let them know that the car would be towed again and told the issue. They confirmed we dealt with this same issue just one year ago and I asked why is this happening and this is so unacceptable as my family's safety is at risk. I asked if there are any recalls or issues with the make and model that we should be aware of. After looking up the vehicle she then informed us there was indeed a recall for the flex hose which could cause leaks and affect the brakes. The vehicle is currently at the dealership being inspected. Due to where the leak is coming from it seems to be the left side of the vehicle now which tells me the dealership only replaced one of the hoses and not both causing this to happen again. This is negligence and I am beyond frustrated at the thought of what could have happened and I don't think waiting until someone is killed is the right time to fix this issue. There were no warning lamps, messages or symptoms prior to the failure, it just happened while driving and trying to stop.

Received a letter from Ford about recall indicating the issues with braking system and that we were supposed to be able to have the recall fixed first qtr 2021. Spoke to the local Ford dealer in marianna florida (chipola Ford) and they indicated parts may not be available until July 2021 or whenever they receive them. This does not correlate to the NHTSA letter in which Ford indicated a qrt one recall fix. My recall is safety recall 20s42 / NHTSA recall 20v-469.

I received a letter from Ford motor company in September 2020 noting the recall and that I would be notified by mail when the parts are available. Received second letter from Ford motor company in may 2021 that the parts are available and to contact a local dealership for scheduling repair. I contacted bill estes Ford in brownsburg, in who stated that they would order the parts as they didn't have them in stock. I followed up in June 2021 to a report the parts are on backorder and again July 14, 2021 and July 26, 2021 with same response that parts are backordered. July 14, 2021 contacted Ford motor company and established a case number which they stated would help force the parts order process and that I should contact the service manager at bill estes Ford brownsburg, in within 7 days to see if they have received the parts. I contacted bill estes Ford on July 26, 2021 and was told the parts are still on backorder with an unknown date of delivery. I then contacted Ford motor company customer service to check the status of my case submitted on the July 14, 2021 and was told the parts are on backorder. My wife is very concerned about the brake system which could fail on this vehicle and it appears that Ford motor company (almost 1 year after notifying me of the recall) still cannot complete the required repair.

I have bad brakes on my Ford Edge 2015.
Upon starting my vehicle this morning 10-11-19 a system indicator light came on related to the traction control. The stability control lights (2 lights) are on and stay on - they are not flashing. Not sure what to do?.
Service advance trac light, hill start assist, traction control, wrench light, airbag light and break light all come one simultaneously. Gets stuck on parking break while in park and power steering goes out while driving. Spent over $700 with local for dealership trying to fix it. After it being in the shop the for 3 weeks the same thing started happening a few hours after pickup. The dealership claims that Ford knows about the issue but their isn't just a one all fix all. Other Ford models has had the same issues in the past and had recalls on them. Need this issue fixed!! it's been like this since the day that I purchased it (8/13/2019) from the big red kia in norman.
There is a hissing noise coming from the brake pedal. The noise goes away when the brake pedal is compressed then comes back on as the brake pedal is released. The hissing sound is constant and very bothersome. No issues with braking the car so far. Have had this issue since I bought the car about 5 years ago in 2019 and was told there is no issues with the brakes. Didn't want to spend out of pocket money so have lived with that since, but now the sound is much louder and very bothersome. This is not a normal wear and tear. Ford should issue a recall for this. Have reached out to both dealership and Ford customer service and they haven't been helpful.
Overly sensitive braking application at low speeds and/ or under wet and/or slick conditions. I purchased this car used from an estate and the problem is ongoing.
Breaks I tried breaking while approaching a stop light but my car refused to stop. Luckily there was nobody in front of me, but it took me about 2 or 3x the amount of time I'm used to, to make a complete stop. There's a hissing noise now when I press on the break and I have to put down a lot of pressure on the pedal in order to stop. I don't know if it has anything to do with the recall issued in November but this is dangerous.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle experienced a loss of throttle response when depressing the accelerator pedal, and failed to accelerate properly. After shutting the engine off and back on, the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (friendly Ford in las vegas, nv) and a module was replaced. After the repair was performed, the vehicle idled very highly until the engine warmed up. Also, the brakes would not function properly. The driver was unable to gradually stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but no failures were found. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 4,000.
While driving at 70 mph on a busy stretch of highway, the vehicle jerked slightly, a notification light (orange wrench) came on saying to check the owner's manual, and the accelerator ceased to function. I was able to navigate the car safely to the shoulder; however, the braking felt strained and there was no ability to throttle the engine at any point. Upon stopping another notification popped up saying that "hill assist unavailable". Once stopped, I turned the engine off and let the car sit for a couple of minutes. The car restarted (albeit roughly), and I was able to drive home safely. The car is currently at the Ford dealer where the vehicle was purchased. No update has been provided. The only feedback we've gotten was that they may "find nothing". This is a very serious problem, and I do not believe the vehicle is safe to operate without identifying and repairing this issue.
5th stall 5/16/2016 turned left onto the I-90 on ramp, hit the gas and at ~40 mph the car shuddered and went into limp home mode. Pulled safely to the shoulder and ran the vehicle health report. The report shows issues with hill assist and safety restraints. (29,359).
Grabbing brakes - known brake booster issue - brakes grab a low speeds and if you don't relax your foot on the brake pedal the brakes could lock up causing an unsafe condition. The following information is referenced - NHTSA #10081005. In some cases via forum comments, the brake booster was replaced and the problem was solved however, this is not applied consistently across Ford dealership service departments (autonation Ford littleton). This has been an ongoing issue since we purchased the vehicle new at the dealership noted above.
