1 Transfer Case problem

Failure Date: 04/18/2018

I was told in April of 2018 by my Ford dealership that my vehicle needed a new transfer case. After doing my research, I learned that the Escape has had transfer case issues from the model year 2002 until 2014 yet Ford has done nothing to rectify the situation. I have emailed and postal mailed the ceo of Ford with no response. I do not know how a company can let something as significant as this repair go on for twelve years and not recall the vehicle? eventually this will be a $3000 repair on a four year old vehicle. That is money I do not have. The car continues to make a whining noise when driving on any terrain at any speed.

2 Transfer Case problem

Failure Date: 10/13/2016

While driving on the hwy at 72mph on cruise control, the transfer case failed, causing the car to lose gear completely. This caused the rpms to skyrocket and the car to immediately begin slowing down - resulting in significant safety risks associated with surrounding traffic. Unknown what caused the transfer case to fail.
