Power steering assist fault is on the dashboard and I can barely turn the wheel. This happened while driving 65mph on the highway over wolf creek pass and with the snow I could have driven off the cliff or knocked another vehicle off. Unknown. Unknown. Not yet. No warnings it just jolted and then barely turns. Adaptive cruise control I will be driving using cruise control or without and it will start up and just keep speeding up until I stop it. The car randomly speeding up on its own is dangerous if it does this at all. Unknown. Unknown. Not yet. No warnings and it has happened a good six times so fat. The jerry app says I have 5 recalls on this vehicle I have already fixed the only one I knew about which is the gas line but I am wondering about the other 4? I am clearly having an issue that seems directly related to the recalls but your site says that I don't have any. I will double check the carfax but I am pretty sure that im the only one to address this. Please advise.

The right rear brake area screeches loudly when I back up, even if I am not applying the brake. It happens at different times of the day, not just when I start the car. I have taken it in to be repaired twice and they tell me this is normal because the brakes charge the battery and this is the design. They said it happens when the brakes are wet in the morning. I park my car in the garage and every morning it screeches and does not appear to be a moisture issue. My car is new and began happening shortly after I brought it home. I think I am going to call and insist they replace them, as they are not able to repair them. I am concerned there is something wrong. Also, I don't use the adaptive cruise control, as it has accelerated and frightened me, as it tends to act on its own and may go over the speed limit. When I brake it will turn off, I just don't trust it. I think the controls aren't like other speed controls I have used and I maybe not be used to using them. I'm not sure. I had to put a tint on the front windows and a strip on the top of the windshield because it was clear and the sun came in so bright and would reflect off the dash, I was unable to see. The windshield is close to the steering wheel. When I bought the car the hood and door on the driver's side were not properly aligned. Again, they said this is normal. I had to have them repaired. I have never had so many problems with a new car. I am going to try to get the brakes fixed somehow and get something else.

I was driving on the nys thruway with lane assist and cruise control enabled. This is after already having an issue with my computer where the car a couple of months ago just stopped in the middle of the road. This morning I was driving on the thruway when suddenly, if felt like the collision impact system was engaged and the car shifted to the right slamming into the car next to me. No airbag deployment but extensive damage and collision system was completely engaged. The car issued no warnings or other issues afterwards. Nyspd arrived and completed report. Another car was involved. Only side damage.

The front radar that enables collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, etc. Has failed. It first started as an intermittent problem that quickly progressed to a total failure. The vehicle was not involved in an accident or any misuse that would cause this problem.
While driving down hill the vehicle was revving up to almost 5rpms while breaking. . . Was not shifting into lower gear. . Pulled in to get gas. . Went to back up with reverse. . Then shifted gear into drive . . And the vehicle was still in reverse. . . Pushed the shifter to park and then back into driver and car was still driving in reserve. . . Pushed back into park . . . Switched seats with my husband . . . He got into driver seat and the shifter was stuck in park. . But was not registering on dash board. . According to the dashboard it was in reverse . . . Husband reversed the car into a parking spot . . He kept trying to pull the shifter to go into drive. . . But it was locked on park. . . So he manually went in to shift the gears and was able to move the shifter manually . . . But it still was not recognizing it on the dashboard. . . There was no warning sign . . . No alerts on the dash. . . . While husband was trying to get the shifter to register on dash. . . All lights on dash started flickering. . . So then we thought it was referring to the battery. . . Because soon after there was no powered at all to the vehicle. . . But the vehicle was still moving in reverse. . We put e brake on called a friend and had him jump us . . Did absolutely nothing . . . So now car is stranded in a parking lot until tomorrow. . . All this going on with an infant and 5 year old . . In freezing cold weather. . . Something needs to be done with these Ford Escapes before someone gets killed! for the amount of complaints I am seeing on this feature with the 2015. . You would think something would be done. . . This is dangerous and. Absolutely uncalled for. . . Get these damn cars off the market!.

While cruise is engaged when driving down the highway, it will randomly get "cancelled" and then will reengage randomly. This occurred 4 times in a 5 minute period even when there is no traffic around.
When driving power steering goes out. Power assist light comes on. Called Ford and they state this VIN is not affected and its only on a select # of VIN's. Find this hard to believe when there are 591 complaints with the same issue. Mileage is at 122,000 for this issue. Vehicle has not been repaired yet at this time.

I used to drive my Ford Escape just perfectly and I was happy. I liked it. One day in December 2022, I drove my car normally and perfectly during the day. Then, after work, I went to do my shopping. After I finished shopping, I drove my car again. I changed the cruise control settings. After less than a mile, I was tuning left at low and normal speed less than 10mph. Suddenly, I found the car accelerated on its own and I lost the control of the wheel. I did not feel the pedals under my feet, no resistance. Every thing was out of my control. Then, the car hit a tree. Fortunately, no injury, I had a pain lasted for weeks, but no injury. There are huge smokes, but no fire. The car was declared as a total loss, and I lost a lot of money. After that I was curious what happened to me. I found complaints about Ford Escape, in which the drivers stating the same experience as mine. The accelerated on its own after adjusting the cruise control. That’s inspired me to complain and warn other driver about the safety of this car. I don’t know the main reason the car accelerated, but I hope it will be investigated. However, I found that Ford has a recall in the last week of November (a week before my accident) related to fuel injection. I searched again and I found that the problems on car’s computer, fuel injector or ecu could lead to uncontrolled amount of fuel passing to the engine and may cause acceleration or burn. I am very lucky that the acceleration didn’t hit people or the car burnt from speed and heat. Again, I don’t know what happened, but I hope it will be investigated to safe lives of others. Photos can be supported upon request. The car is now with the insurance company.
