After making a complete stop at a traffic light I made a left turn and began to accelerate when I heard a loud pop which at first I thought was a tire blow out. The engine was running so erratically that I could feel it in my steering. We inspected the vehicle for a flat when we noticed every tire was fine. I opened the hood and removed the top cover to the engine to discover a spark plug laying on top of the engine and the coil that was once attached blown off of the plug and damaged off to the side still connected to its electrical source. This cold have caused a fire. For the record these plugs were the original factory spark-plugs. Via the internet I have discovered this website to file a complaint.
I just experienced my second spark plug blowout. The first was the #4 plug in February and now the #3 in luly. Both repairs have been over 700 dollars each.
A spark plug was ejected from my 2003 Ford Expedition and is a known problem and deadly safety (fire) problem.
Cruising down the highway at approx. 60mph and hear a huge thump and then my engine rpms dropped. Pulled over to the side of the road in 6 degree weather with my family in the car, only to find out the car is inoperable. Took the car to the dealership for repair and it concludes that the spark plug blew out.
The contact owns a 2003 Ford Expedition. While the vehicle was parked, someone used a screwdriver to punch out the key cylinder on the key pad. The thief stole personal items that were left in the vehicle. A police report was filed. The current and failure mileages were 60,000. Updated 01-11-08. The thieves gained entrance to the vehicle by pushing the mechanical key pad out. Updated 1212/07.
I have a 2003 Ford Expedition that has surface rust on the engine intake cowling. The dealership says that under Ford's rust warranty only rust through issues are covered. This seems to be a common issue with this vehicle.
Dt: front driver side window shattered. Contact was walking about 15-20 feet away from the vehicle and she heard like an explosion and she turned and looked and she saw the glass fly out of the window the glass was all over the vehicle and know one was around the truck. Contact says that if she had not of stopped at the greenhouse then this could have happened while driving and possibly caused an accident. Her 18 month old would have been in the back seat possibly causing injury to her baby if this would have happened while she driving. The window was down a couple of inches and if she hadn't actually seen the window shatter she would have thought someone had tried to break into her truck.
I bought this vehicle from joe myers Ford on 12/22/04. I had many problems with the salesperson who is jerry delgado. He lied to me. Joe told me that I was going to make a certain payment and reality I ended making another payment. He also put all these different insurances that I didn't ask for or was asked to if I wanted. I tried to cancel the but they didn't want to. The salesperson was no help at all. He didn't explain to me everything that was needed to explain like how long I was going to be paying for the SUV.
While driving, the truck caught on fire. The consumer was informed that it looked as if a piece of cardboard was wedged between the muffler and the chassis to stop a vibration. This was not accidental. Ford claimed to be unaware of this problem.
