The headlights on this vehicle are absolutely the worst of any car I've ever driven. Did night driving yesterday; the peripheral lighting was virtually non-existent, and I couldn't even see my driveway from the road. There is no mention on the window sticker about what type of light fixtures the car has. I feel extremely unsafe when driving this vehicle at night, and will limit this exposure when I can. Totally unsafe in the dark of night. The road to our place is unlighted and kinda country . . . Couldn't see the driveway at 10mph with the turn signal flashing.

The passenger side turn signal will not work. I have changed fuses, bulb( even though both were good), and have checked wiring and can not get it to work. This is very much a safety issue and I can't imagine that I am the only one this has happen to.

During rainy periods the stereo and windhshield wipers will turn off and on by themselves. If the truck is turned off the stereo and ac will stay on and locks will lock and unlock by themselves. Smoke comes up from the steering wheel. The turn signals will blink a few times then stop blinkin but the light will stay on.

The turn signal indicators failed. A recall was issued. However, this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN. The vehicle's wiper also failed.

When steering wheel is tilted to lowest position turn signals fail to operate.
Both external rear view mirrors with built-in turn signal indicators have lost teh reflective surface. It seems that teh 'silvering' on the back side of the mirror has peeled off. Night visibility is near zero. Daytime is not much better. The defect has resulted in a couple near misses with respect to an accident. Ford will not cover under (extended) warranty. I reported it in 2001 .

Exterior mirror is peeling, causing almost zero visibility. The manufacturer refuses to repair under warranty. These mirrors are heated with the turn signals embedded.
When the signal lights are activated there is no alert sound to let driver know that the blinker is on as there is in the older model vehicles. Dealer contacted, and stated that this vehicle made that way. Also, 4 way hazard flashers are silent.
Both side rear view mirrors with the turn signal are turning black. In certain spots there is no reflection. At night the visibility is very poor.
