Windshield Wiper/washer Motor Problems of Ford Expedition

When I turned on ignition wipers started to operate without being turned on. Smoke began blowing from vent area. I turned off ignition and all electrical. Wipers and washer failed to operate. Wiper motor connector caught fire and burnt out wiper motor. Repaired at "ron bortnick Ford" upper marlboro MD. 20772.

Windshield wipers do not work while vehicle's gear is in drive. Wipers only work when gear is in park or neutral. Dealer previously replaced wiper motor, but problem occurred. Related to recall 01258000. However, this vehicle not included due to VIN.

Consumer received notification of recall 01v258000 concerning windshield wiper motor failure, and was refused service by dealership. Dealership ran vehicle id number and showed that consumer's vehicle was not included in recall even though he received notification through mail. Please provide any additional information / attachments.

Wipers turn on automatically while switch is in the off position. Wiper motor replaced once, problem still exists.

Intermittent problem with windshield wipers turning on while switch is in off mode. Dealer notified, and informed consumer that they are aware of this problem, but no solution has been found at this time.

Intermittently the windshield wipers / rear windshield wipers will come on. Consumer cannot turn off the wipers if the wipers come on unexpecedtly, need to wait until they turn off by themselves. Ford says they are working on the problem.

Windshield wiper motor failed.

Rear windshield wiper intermittently shuts off. Windshield wiper motor has been replaced twice. Still does it.

Windshield wipers continually self activate, module replacement is not available to Ford at time of failure. Constant dry wiping has scratched windshield. Mjs.
