Over the past several weeks my Explorer seems to have lost it's handling ability. The vehicle has excessive sway and too much play in the steering wheel. I have stopped using the vehicle until I can get to the dealer for inspection.

Sidewall failure/partial separation - r&r kit necessary to bring vehicle into alignment specifications( dot number: w2uu tire size: p226/70r15 ).
Vehicle experiences vibration and slight drift to the right around 65 mph. Rotated tires every 5000 miles, however inside of front tires experience severe cupping. At 35000 mile service, brought to bankston Ford (frisco TX) for maintenance. Tires rotated, but nothing noted on service report about severe cupping on inside of tires by bankston. Grew frustrated with lack of service and disregard for safety, took to goodyear dealer. Tires were worn to the 2nd layer and near failure, and shown to me by tech. Replace with goodyears & had alignment checked, needed slight toe in adjustment. Vehicle still vibrates at 65 mph, already seeing cupping wear pattern on inside of brand new goodyears with less than 500 miles!. ( dot number: tire size: p255/70r16 ).
The firestone tires on the vehicle were replaced due to recall, prior to recall replacement the vehicle experienced problems with road handling and front end alignment, after tire replacement the vehicle still had trouble with the front end alignments, consumer is concerned that the problems are not just related to the tires but the front end suspension as well.

I saw the recall on earlier vehicles, but the Ford dlr on this request replaced the front end suspension on my truck after claiming they had seen a lot of problems like this and Ford called it an "engineering flaw". I am hoping the NHTSA will review this problem and expand it's recall.
While driving about any speed vehicle started vibrating. Tires are firestone wilderness.
Truck started developing control problems, fishtailing and vibrating. Noticed that tire treads were separating. Took to firestone dealer and replaced all 4. 2 of them were bulging and separating a great deal, the other 2 were starting to develop minor bulges. We were lucky that we stopped before we lost complete control. ( dot number: ).
Vehicle leans to the left front. Left front of vehickle is lower than the right side. Makes turning to the right tricky.
After driving this vehicle for over a year now, I know there is irreperable problems associated with its suspension. This is an unsafe vehicle, particularily at speeds in excess of 45 mph and on bumpy roads.
Consumer was traveling about 75mph on highway and vehicle was vibrating. Also, rear right passenger side tire separated from wheel, and driver lost control, and vehicle rolled over and landed in the middle of highway.
Experiencing problem with vehicle tilting too far when making a turn at 20 mph. Dealer notified, and informed consumer that nothing could be found, and everything appeared to be normal. Feel free to provide any further detai on this matters.
When driving steering wheel jerked and vehicle wandered off into another direction. Dealership was aware of problem.
The vehicle has a vibration / shimmy that appears to be comming from the front end at all speeds on both rough and relatively smooth road surfaces. When going over relatively small routine bumps, such as joints in a roads surface, the entire vehicle shakes. When going over slightly rougher surfaces such as a man-hole cover the front wheel vibration continues for 5-10 seconds after, and is extremely hard to control. Navigating some of the larger pot holes/rough roads in the area is extremely hazardous as maintaining control is all but impossible. I have brought the vehicle into the dealers for service on 5 seperate occassions, the first three times I was told that it was normal operations, the last two times, they tried adjusting the tire pressure, and suspension but have not fixed the problem.
The front end just stops moving forward when it wants to. It has so far only happened while turning at slow speeds. When this occurs we have no control over where the vehicle is going. Has been into the dealership (not the one we purchased it from) 3 times for this problem. They cannot determine the cause of the problem so nothing has been repaired at this time. I am currently waiting on the dealership to see if they can finally determine the cause of the malfunction.
