1 Sway Bar problem of the 2015 Ford Explorer

Failure Date: 08/13/2019

Front sway bar links had to be replaced because they were broke. I brought my car in for the recall of the rear suspension. I have not hit anything or been in a wreck so there is no reason for this to have been broke.

2 Sway Bar problem of the 2013 Ford Explorer

Failure Date: 07/18/2019

Front sway bar links have been knocking over 1 year ago. At the time my car was only 5 years old. At first the Ford dealership they thought it was valve body in the suspension the first time they checked. Explorer was jerking when I slowed down to a stop. The second time I took it in they said it was the throttle body. They replaced that because I complained that I have had so many problems with a 5 to 6 year old car. Only has 77,000 miles on it.

Multiple problems engine light keeps coming on with different issues all within the last 6 months. I have had to have the thermostat housing unit replaced because it cracked, the transmission serviced and re calibrated, replaced the shift solenoid pack because truck would not accelerate and shifted hard. Felt like it was going to stall out. The power steering pressure switch replaced due to power steering leak and the sway bar link repaired because it came loose. Fuel filter replaced due to engine light code indicated issues. Truck only has 81000 miles and now getting ready to take it in again because it is making a loud "clunking" noise when making only left turns. Engine light remains on even after they reset it with every repair that has been done.

6 Sway Bar problem of the 2003 Ford Explorer

Failure Date: 07/27/2014

I have had three incidents with my 2003 Ford Explorer. The first incident involved the suspension ( sway bars snapped, tires had to be repaired). Second incident was the transfer case and a wiggling drive shaft along with rear wheel bearings ( parts deemed defective by mechanics) , and emergency brakes that snapped off in my mechanics hands because they were rusty. Now it is transmission work for a possible faulty sensor. Ford needs to recalls before someone is killed due to catasrophic equipment failure! ive called them every time and they are aware of the issues but refuse to do anything other then document them and say have a nice day!.

7 Sway Bar problem of the 2007 Ford Explorer

Failure Date: 10/08/2010

Was driving from work to pick up daughter from soccer approx 2 miles away. Started hearing a noise that sounded maybe like something was stuck in hubcap. . Noise seemed to be more noticeable when vehicle was braking or slowing down. Drove approx. Another 10 miles before parking the vehicle for the night. Next morning(sat) called our local dealer to see if they could get it in to look at it. Service states that the sway bar is loose and that two of the 5 bolts that hold the wheel in place on the driver's side rear were sheared off. Car is at the garage now and they gave me a loaner to use while it iis being repaired. It was in for service about a month ago and the u-joint was replaced and a couple of other issues were fixed all under the extended warranty that was purchased when we purchased the vehicle. The only other time that I know of that the driver rear tires was off was back in may of this year when it had a complete brake job at another local service provider. So far the service dept at the dealer has been good and they have treated me well as far as getting a loaner vehicle etc. . . . But I am concerned that this could be a safety issue for others. If I had not brought this in to be looked at, we could have very easily been involved in an accident had the wheel snapped off on us. That is scary to think about. We are very lucky to not have that happen to us.
