My new 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac experience a third sudden acceleration event since my purchasing the vehicle in early January. On all three occasions I was able to control the surge in acceleration by use of the foot brake. I am worried that an accident is just a matter of time. I have taken the car to the dealer but because it is not an easily reproducible problem I have not obtained any resolution of the problem.
