Seven problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 1997 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tl-the contact owns a 1997 Ford F-150 4x4. The contact stated that the horn on the vehicle does not work and the air bag light remains illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 186,000. Ad.
Horn assembly will not work at all, and airbag light appears on dashboard. Dealership is aware of problem. . Consumer states the horn would not stop blowing, and the airbag would also have to be replaced becasue the horn contacts were on the same module as the airbag.
My airbag light keep on flashing after the battery was replace due to bad battery. Shouldn't not have to take the truck to the dealer everytime the battery have to be replace.
Airbag light is on. Vehicle taken to dealer 5 times. Dealer cannot solve problem. Consumer states that the throttle stuck on vehicle while driving in heavy traffic when vehicle only had 8193 miles on it, dealer replaced throttle body and air intake, throttle stuck again at 28104 miles, dealer replaced same parts. Pittman arm was replaced.
The air bag clock spring failed causing the air bag light to illuminate. Nlm.
While driving airbag light comes on and off which determines that there is a problem with the airbag system. Been to dealer 6 times and replaced airbag sensor. Dealer cannot determine problem.
Water is leaking into the dashboard, causing windshield wipers/interior lights, and electrical windows not to work. Also, air bag light remains illuminated and other malfunctions occur. The point from where the water is leaking has not been determined.
