Blown Head Gasket problems of the 1999 Ford F-150

Four problems related to blown head gasket have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Blown Head Gasket problem

Failure Date: 03/18/2005

Driver noticed a brownish liquid leaking from underneath the vehicle while parked. Driver took vehicle to the dealer, and mechanic determined that the head gasket blew out, and needed to be replaced.

2 Blown Head Gasket problem

Failure Date: 03/05/2002

Head gasket blew and needed to be replaced. After spending lump sums of money the consumer was told that there is an defect in the deck surface of the engine block that allowed oil to leak out of the engine. The condition was not caused by the head gaskets. Due to the extent of damages to the engine a new one had to be purchased for over $5000. 00. The consumer is asking Ford to help pay for repairs on the faulty automobile.

3 Blown Head Gasket problem

Failure Date: 02/18/2002

Head gaskets blewout. 2 sets of head gaskets blewout within last 6 months. Also was having trouble with transmission.

4 Blown Head Gasket problem

Oil is leaking on passenger's side between the cylinder head and engine block. This leakage could eventually cause head gasket to blow. Please provide any further information.
