The torque converter on my 2005 Ford F-150 has had two torque converters fail in the drive train. One failed within the 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty period. The second torque converter failed around 50,000 miles. I believe this information warrants an investigation into the Ford line of torque converters for the Ford F-150 truck line.
I have a 2003 F-150 with a 5. 4 engine. There is slack in the transmission around the torque converter. Whwnever you slow down the gently bump the accelerator you hear a bumping noise. Is this normal.
