I currently own a 2005 Ford F-150 4x4 supercrew truck and have started experiencing some grinding/ pulling in the transmission. I first thought it would probably just go away and now it just gets worse each time. The problem creates a rather loud noise and has greatly concerned me. I contacted the dealership where I purchased the truck, rivertown Ford/ columbus,GA, and I discovered that this problem seems to be wide spread with the F-150. I am in process of trying to solve this problem now. Ford motor CO. Needs to issue a recall for this issue.
The contact owns a 2005 Ford f150. The contact states that the automatic transmission is not working properly. While driving up a hill the vehicle will roll back. Also, when driving down a hill the vehicle will roll back as well. In addition, transmission is making a clanking noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealership four times, and they would like to fix the vehicle, but they contacted Ford. The dealership spoke with the regional Ford representative, who told them this was normal for the vehicle although none of the other trucks had a similar problem. The contact test drove a 1999 model and drove it the same places where she experienced the problem ,and that vehicle did not experience the same problem. The dealership was going to tear the vehicle apart to see what was wrong with it because they test drove it as well and noticed the problem. This problem is intermittent and gets worse.
