1 Noises During Shifting problem

Jerking and bumping noise in drive line at light acceleration just before or just after transmission shifts to the next gear. Dealer added a gear fluid additive that they said was left out at factory. This did not fix the problem.

2 Noises During Shifting problem

Failure Date: 08/16/2005

The contact owns a 2005 Ford f150. Since the vehicle was purchased, the transmission experienced irregularities while shifting. The vehicle would shift in and out of gear. The contact heard a noise when the vehicle shifted into overdrive. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer at 23,400 miles and they stated that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. Rocks were removed from the exhaust shield. The technician test drove the vehicle and stated that the noise was normal. While driving at 55 mph, the vehicle began jerking and the transmission failed without warning. The dealer stated that something became loose within the transmission and it needed to be replaced. Ford stated that the contact would have to pay out of pocket because the vehicle was not under warranty. The purchase date was unknown. The current mileage was 67,000 and failure mileage was 8.
