My high school daughter was driving our 2010 f150 on the way to school today and it failed in the left turn lane at a busy intersection, and it would crank but not start. People were honking their horns and my daughter missed classes. She could have been re-end and injured for the rest of her life. I had the vehicle towed to a garage and they said it was a known issue related to a fuse/fuse box wire and they are looking for a fusebox bypass kit that Ford has put together to fix this problem. This is a known issue that several people have reported. Https://CA. Cargurus. Com/cars/discussion-c21953_ds740770. 2010 Ford f150 stalls when going slow, and turning left. The oil light came on and I lost all power I had to put in park and restart. Took about 5 tries for the truck to restart. It did the same thing again about five minutes later while making another left turn. Also, died when I was sitting at a light preparing to turn right.

The vehicle stalled when approaching stop sings and when slowing to make a sharp turn on highways with heavy traffic behind my vehicle causing loss of brakes and steering. I have the invoices in my possession but am unable to upload.
I live in a metropolitan area where there is always a high volume of traffic and losing power of a vehicle is a dangerous situation. Driving in 5:00 rush hour traffic and accelerating from a red light when my Ford truck entered into a "limp home" mode (wrench icon and oil lamp appeared) it stalled out. I was able to coast into a parking lot even though I had no power steering or brakes. Eventually, I was able to start my vehicle. My truck drove fine but now and then had a hesitation to start. About a week later, it stalled again; this time it did not start. I was a block from my office and we pushed it back. I had it towed to a local shop and was told it was the fuel pump. I work in outside sales and had to have it replaced $700. The truck drove ok for about a month, but still hesitated on starting. In June, once again it stalled. I took it back to the shop and they could find nothing wrong. July 9th, I was driving about 55 mph when I came to a signal light and stopped. The light turned green, I begin my left hand turn and the truck stalled. I had it towed to Ford dealer. They are saying that now it is the fuel pump battery junction box, another $2500 and it will take after labor day before I get my truck back because there are no parts available!!! rent a car for 2 months on top of that!!!.
I was stopped at a red light when the warning chime went off and oil light came on. Engine turned off, lost all power. Was able to get vehicle started again. Had vehicle towed to nearest Ford dealership. They could not find anything wrong with vehicle, no codes. Drove vehicle home approximately 14 miles, same thing happened again. Vehicle has stalled four times in two days, once when trying to make a left turn. Vehicle has been serviced only at Ford dealerships, what they recommended to do, was done. Same scenario happens, warning chime, oil light comes on, total loss of power. Dealership gave me impression they never heard of this problem. Searching this on the internet,I have found numerous posts of the same thing happening to other customers. Bringing vehicle back to dealership, see what happens.

Vehicle would stall at random while driving. Mechanics at Ford advised that it was relay wire or harness wires for the airbag sensors that ran through the fuel tank were corroded or shorted out. They reported that the engineers at Ford made a bad call when they decided to run the wires through the fuel tank, which in turn resulted in me having to dish out 1500 bucks for the repair. This issue occurred multiple times prior to the repair on a truck with less than 53000 miles at the time, between during March or April of 2014 when I first purchased the used truck. Lost all power at various speeds and on several road types including highway, highway service road, residential street and farm to market road, while going strait and during turns, after multiple events and having put less than 1000 miles on it, I took it up to Ford. Grateful that no accidents occured during the episodes I experienced. I was able to cometo a stop, place the truck in park and restart it. Ttince the repair no issues. Love the f series pick ups and have owned several over a span of 18 years and its all my dads company uses. I know its been almost 4 years since having the issue but felt like I needed to say something to at least give others a head up or warning. Never set well with me. I still have the repair paperwork if needed.

Truck stalls intermittently. Usually it is while coming to a stop but occasionally it is while making a slow turn. This means the power steering goes as do the brakes. Very scary. The engine codes have been checked and since they do not show anything the truck is considered good. Yet it continues to stall.
While decelerating 2010 Ford f150 stalled (4. 6l v-8). Vehicle restarted in neutral, then stalled each time vehicle was put in gear. Increased rpms in neutral and put vehicle in drive and drove to safe area, vehicle stalled. Cleaned mass air flow and made it home. Took vehicle to local dealership where vehicle was purchased and was told that because the onboard computer is not displaying a code that the truck cannot be fixed. Currently I refuse to drive a vehicle that is stalling unexpectedly and subsequently losing power steering and brake assist. This vehicle is a danger and liability to any driving inside it, or near it.

On may 8th 2012, my truck stalled while I was merging into traffic at approx. 55 mph. The vehicle was brand new when I purchased it in may of 2009 from gulf coast auto Ford in angleton, texas. So, I had them tow it to their shop for repairs. The mass air flow sensor was replaced on may 9th, and I drove the vehicle until Friday , may 11th, when the same problem occurred. The vehicle stalled at traffic speeds, died, and then couldn't be restarted! this second incident also resulted in my having the vehicle towed to the dealership where I am told that they can't find the problem!! it now starts after the stalling, but not until a period of hours passes. What can I do? this is a serious safety issue? Ford is telling the dealership to put an on-board data recorder on my truck that they cannot even get from Ford! I only have 52000 miles on this vehicle and have cared for it meticulously.
I was driving down the highway around February 6th 2011 and my 2010 f150 stalled on me. I was able to crank it back up and keeping moving. This was not the first time this happened. It was the worst one seeing has how I was doing maybe 60. I took it to the Ford dealership and they said they could find a problem while driving the truck, so downloaded some new software to my computer and said that should fix the issue. On April 11th the same thing happened again, I was driving in a parking lot and my truck stalled. I wasn't able to crank the truck back up for almost 30 minutes. When I was able to start it back up there are a burning smell coming from the truck. I this time had the truck towed to Ford and spoke to them today and they stated they again found nothing wrong and couldn't recreate the problem. The have contacted Ford hq for answers. My worry is that I am going to get in a crash because of this problem. I have done some looking around on the internet and found a lot of people having this issue, and nothing seems to be getting done.
This F-150 pick up truck was purchased in April 2010 as new. Everything was ok until April 2012. The truck stalled without warning when it slowed down or made turns. The engine died and no power, no steering. I was able to restart it and sent the truck to the dealer shop right away. On the way to the dealer, it stalled couple of more times. Luckily, no other cars were behind, otherwise I could not imagine what would happen. The dealer could not duplicate the problem or get a code. I checked online and noticed many 2010 f150 owners had same problems. Some of people mentioned to change throttle body, so I told the dealer shop and got throttle body changed. During the next 2 months, it did not happen again. However, on July 5th 2012, it stalled again when I made turns in the local. I sent the truck back to the dealer shop again and they still did not know how to fix the problem, since it happened intermittent. Now I am afraid of driving my truck. Absolutely no drive on highways. The people have already complained the 2010 model that the trucks stalled on the highway at >65 mph. It is a severe safety issue. I am very frustrated since the truck is not living to what it is suppose to be.

On or about July 15th 2010 I purchased my Ford f150 brand new with 3 miles on it. No problems occurred until December 31st 2010. Heading north on a 3 lane highway the truck just "shut off". . Died in the middle of heavy traffic. I immediately attempted to restart and would not restart until 3rd attempt. I looked at the gas gage, it read 3/4 full. This did not reoccur until January 3rd, 2011. The same as before stalled with full tank of gas. Third time occurred January 19th, 2011 with my wife driving and 2 minor children in the back seat. This again happened stalled on highway in heavy traffic, with full tank of gas. State trooper with highway patrol had to stop traffic and push the truck to side of the road and noted the full tank of gas. Towed to Ford who refused to fix this vehicle claiming that this defect needed to reoccur with a flight recorder attached to it, but Ford dealership refused to drive it stating"it was a liability to their buisness and could cause injury to the service department staff". . . They then refused to keep it any longer and delivered it to our home with the serious safety defect still untouched!.
My Ford F-150 truck(milage9,529) has stalled or lost power and stalled 10 times on 5 different occasions. The problem started on 01-14-11. The first two visits to the dealer they could not duplicate the condition or find a code in the computer. No mechanical work was performed. On 01-26-11 the wrench appeared, I drove directly to the dealer. The tech found two conflicting codes. He e-mailed Ford tech center with the problem. On 01-28-11 they replaced the throttle body. (code p0505) on 02-01-11 truck stalled again, this time they replace the resonator(pin point leak to the resonator hose code p0102 at 9511 miles. On 02-08-11 truck stalled at a stop sign. ( no wrench) on 02-15-11 truck stalled twice (wrench showed up ) at milage 9,525- 14 miles since the resonator work. On 02-16-11 I had a meeting with the service manager. He was very courteous and professional. I gave the service manager a copy of a report on problems for 2010 Ford F-150 trucks. . Read more...
My truck is in the shop for the third time in a month and a half. It has an issue with stalling. 5 times so far plus the gas gauge is not reading the proper amount (5-7 gals low). Stalled twice in a week and the dealer changed the sending unit and reprogrammed computer. Was fine for two weeks and it stalled two more times with the gas gauge reading low again. Said they found gas in the evap canister and that was causing all of the problems. Changed can and went on my way. That was 1-28-11 and on 1-31-11 vehicle stalled again withe the gas gauge still not working properly. It is back at the shop (as of 2-1-11) and they have been unable to duplicate or find a problem yet. Dealer claims that they have not heard of the problem, but seems like there are too many complaints here for Ford not to have noticed.
Truck has a wanring light on that looks like a wrench. Truck has been stalling while driving, causing the truck to lose all power and stop dead in the middle of road. Ford techs say they cant find anything wrong and Ford refuses to help. I am just waiting to get in an accident so I can sue Ford for not acting on this safety issue after having the truck in for repair four times with no help.
We have experienced six different instances since December where the engine would completely shut down while in motion. Range of speed at time of incident has been between 5 - 40 mph. On January 23, 2011, while driving at 40 mph down a windy hill, the vehicle flashed the wrench light then completely shut down causing a loss of power steering. As a result, I had a near miss of a head on collision with another vehicle in the oncoming lane as the truck I was driving veered into the oncoming traffic because I was unable to immediately regain control. Typically the truck can be put into park then turned back on but not in this case. The latest stall of the engine occurred on February 9, 2011 while making a turn in a grocery store parking lot. The vehicle was towed to a dealer on January 23, 2011 and the dealer indicated that the could not duplicate the problem and the computer reading did not show faulty equipment. In addition, I am experience a problem with the fuel gauge. Even after completely filling up the vehicle, the gauge does not read as full. There are functional problems with this vehicle. As a mother with two children who is the primary driver of the vehicle, I am terrified of the potential for a fatal accident to occur. There are numerous web page/blogs where drivers across the country have described these same issues. Ford needs to do something.

My 2010 Ford f 150 that I bought new in August of 2010 has stalled five different time over the last two years. The first time was about a month after I bought it with less than 2000 miles on it. While stopping at a red light the engine just died. The other four times was while making a left turn. When it stalls the engine rpm just goes down smoothly to zero and becomes very hard to steer and brake. This is very dangerous while making a turn across oncoming traffic which is how two of the stalls happened. The last incident happened on 11/27/2012 with only 21,000 miles on my truck. I came extremely close to hitting a dump trunk that had to swerve not to hit me. After I stop and put it back to park it starts right back up and runs fine. No engine lights and the dealer says there are no codes set. I have taken it in twice before with no help. This is an extremely dangerous safety issue that needs to be fixed.
The contact owns a 2010 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 20 mph making a right turn, the vehicle stalled. The contact was unable to steer the vehicle so he turned it off. Upon restart, the vehicle functioned properly. The failure occurred three to four times. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer but the failure could not be duplicated. The failure mileage was approximately 2,500 and the current mileage was 11,600.
