1 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 07/26/2019

While driving on the highway the engine shut off. Upon inspection, fuse #27 burned out instead of blowing. This fuse controls the fuel pump, and when it burned up the fuel pump lost power at highway speed. Upon research it is a very common problem with the 2009-2014 year models and Ford issued a TSB but not a recall. I hadn't known about this when purchasing the truck used, and it is a very serious safety issue.

2 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 11/29/2018

11/29/18 will be the 6th time my engine shut off when coming to a stop and making a turn. Other 5 incidents were about 3 years ago. Each occasion, slowing down to a stop, engine shuts off while making a turn, and I put it in neutral while pressing brakes, starts up, and I keep going down the road. 122k miles, love the truck but this has me very concerned for my family riding in the truck. I looked up any recalls but did not find anything regarding this. F-150 forums have the exact same incidents and when taking to Ford dealership, they cannot find anything wrong. Please let me know my options of getting Ford to do something.

3 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2018

While driving down the road engine shut off. When slowing down to make a turn, engine will shut off. And I rolled across intersection, lost brakes and steering. In motion most of the time. On city streets.

4 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2016

2010 Ford f150 with just over 60,000 miles. While driving, the vehicle fails and the engine shuts down entirely. This happens intermittently when the truck comes to a stop, but has also happened while driving casually at approximately 45 mph on city streets. This has happened multiple times. Personal investigation has led to finding numerous reports online of the same or worse problems with this model/year of Ford truck. Research has lead to show that there seems to be a factory issue with the fuel/air system on the vehicle. Numerous other reports online of the truck failing while driving and even causing accidents in some instances. This is a very serious safety issue as it endangers the lives of those in this vehicle as well as others on the roadway. A recall needs to be implemented immediately by the manufacturer to rectify this wrongdoing.

5 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2015

While slowing for a stop engine shut down. No engine lights or warnings were displayed. Steering locked up. Truck restarted with no problem. Very dangerous.

6 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 06/07/2013

I was coming to a complete stop at a red light and oil light illuminated and made audible beep and engine shut down. Placed truck in park and restarted right up placed into drive and drove away without issue when light turned green. This is the third time this has happened always in the same way in same order complete stop oil light beep and engine shut down. The first time it happened it was brought to dealer and since no engine light was not on and no stored codes we found I was sent on my way. Sine I owns own scan tools and am now out of warranty I have need to bring to dealer to waste my time when they can't diagnose until there is a recall.

7 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 08/25/2010

On August 2010 driving my brand new f150 with 5,800 miles with my children about 25 mph around corner truck just shut off. Could hardly steer and brakes where very difficult to use. Had to coast into a safe area almost hitting another vehicle. Stopped, put in park, it started then went directly home. Called Ford they asked if any lights came on, which they did not. Had vehicle towed to dealership. No codes came up on their computer. The kept the truck for 7 days. They hooked up a vdr system in the truck. They said next time this happened I needed to press a button. Get this, next time this happened while trying to steer and brake and not get in an accident press this button. The vdr would record every thing that was going on with the truck when it stalls again. Three weeks later Ford calls asks what going on. It has not happened again. They will call Ford and see what to do. They will probably want the vdr system back. There is nothing else they can do. They said they have not received any other complaints about this occurring on 2010 f150s. I told them there are many on the internet. I told my husband I do not want to drive this truck anymore. Its like playing russian roulette, with our lives. Now winters coming this should be real interesting. I wonder if within a year or so after someone gets seriously hurt or killed that Ford will do something about this.
