I have a2015 f 150 with 47,500 miles. I was driving on the highway when the engine just stopped. I was able to get to the shoulder without getting hit. When I tried to start the truck it would crank but wouldn't start. I ended up calling my mechanic he tried to jump it didn't start. He towed the truck to the shop, he ended up changing the fuel pump and fuel pump module. I looked up the problem on the internet and found many other Ford truck owners had the same problem. I contacted Ford they said there is nothing they can do. My mechanic said the pump should not go bad with the mileage my truck had. What happened could have lead to an accident.
Vehicle stalled while driving at low speed. Dealer found fuel pump sending unit and module had failed and needed to be replaced.
I have a 2015 Ford f150 2. 7 ecoboost with 66,000 miles on it, and my fuel pump has gone bad in it. I have heard from many fellow owners that the same style truck has also had fuel pump failures, most with less miles on them than mine. There is a recall on most of the other Ford vehicles for their fuel pumps being at fall.
While driving on i76 in PA. Truck lost power with no warning and coasted to a complete stop. It would not restart. Towed to Ford dealer who identified control uniot failure and fuel pump failure. Bith had to be repaired. Vehicle had 82850 miles.
The fuel pump on the 2015. F150 2. 7 l ecoboost is faulty. Ford has recalled all other vehicles with this engine except the f150 model. Why? 2 fuel pumps have gone bad on my f150. After the 3 fuel pump was put in Ford also had to replace the pcm so the fuel pump would work. My vehicle was being driven in traffic when the pump failed causing complete loss of power.
I've had my truck for just under 2 years and 42,000 and the fuel pump, relay and modular went out. Ford is not covering this under warranty. One of these items is on back order. So I feel that this maybe a faulty part. Is there anything you can do to look into this. It is a major safety issue. My car just stalled in a parking lot. What if I was on a highway I could have gotten rear ended and killed. Please hold Ford responsible for this issue. I also dont want to be held responsible for paying for this either.
While driving vehicle it stalled in middle of street in traffic. It would not restart. Pushed truck to side of road. Had truck towed to dealership. Has bad fuel pump driver module and fuel pump not working properly. Truck has 42,000 miles on it. Ford has already recalled 91,000 vehicles with this issue but not include the F-150.
After morning startup, vehicle stumbled, hesitated on acceleration into traffic. Vehicle stalled after approximately driving 1 mile. Would re-start, only idle, then stall when put into drive and attempted to re-enter traffic. I had towed to closest Ford dealership for warranty repairs. My vehicle was returned over two weeks later. The service invoice outlined that the low pressure fuel pump was found bad, shorted and connecting plug to harness melted. They replaced fuel pump and repaired harness plug. Vehicle was not fixed. Over the two week period the vehicle was at the dealership, the fuel pump driver, body control module, and last the engine control module was replaced to repair the problem. My major concern is the melted fuel pump plug. I would think there would be adequate fusible link protection to keep this kind of problem from happening especially when affecting an in tank fuel pump. This might lead to fuel fires and also accidents due to loss of power from the engine. I was fortunate to be able to safely get my vehicle on the road shoulder, and then onto a side street with minimal traffic. Another issue is that one device failure creating failures in multiple vehicle control systems that would cost the consumer thousands of dollars out of warranty to repair. I was told that a Ford field engineer was sent to assist the dealership, after his visit, the ecm was replaced which made the vehicle functional again. Adequate overcurrent protection on the fuel pump should have prevented damaging the other critical parts. Ford has put a lot of these vehicles on the road with the fuel efficiency new engineering as a major marketing tool. I fear the vehicle may have been rushed to production with inherent flaws that could be a danger to owners and the public.
