Tl the contact leased a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the driver's door failed to shut and the door ajar warning indicator illuminated. Additionally, an abnormal grinding noise was heard coming from the transmission while idling. The vehicle was taken to andy mohr Ford (2713 e main st, plainfield, in 46168, (317) 839-6541), but they were unable to duplicate the failures. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 1,450. The VIN was not available.
Wind noise is heard coming from both front doors. Dealer claims this is a known issue with the new aluminum body but they don't have a fix. The 10 speed transmission shutters at random.
