When driving to visit my family on the road, I was driving normal in 6th gear and vehicle suddenly jump back down to 5th gear at random times and when slowing down vehicle will stay stuck on 3rd gear instead of coming back down to 1st gear. This happened several times, specially on medium, long trips.
Traveling down my driveway, coming to a stop and the transmission gets stuck in 3rd gear. It won't down shift into 1st gear so it won't move forward. I put the shifter into reverse and I am able to back up. Put shifter into drive and still stuck in 3rd gear. Back up to my house and park the truck not able to go anywhere. Go into the house wait a couple of hours and then try it again and everything is okay. This has happened to me 3 other times.
