Driver door cable sticking open when low temps occur. Driver door does not latch until vehicle is locked or key is inserted into door and manually positioned or key fob is used to lock the vehicle.
At cold temperatures driver side door will not latch.
Rear doors get frozen and will not latch to stay shut. My daughter almost flew out of the vehicle when we went around a corner. I literally had to turn the heat on high hood the door closed for 30 minutes to get it warm enough to latch and stay shut. This is usually following a car wash within a 7 day span. I am not sure how there cannot be a recall for this. Everyone that I know with an f150 has had the same issues.
Leaking sunroom. I cleaned tube's couple times and it is still happening. Ever time it's been raining my floor mat is soaking wet.

I live in a cold climate, wa state, and own a 2017 Ford f150 XLT. On several occasions, both the drivers front door and passenger front doors have opened while driving without activating the door handle. This only occurs when it is wet with rain or snow and below freezing outside. On several occasions, when wet and cold, the doors on this truck will not latch shut as the latching mechanism is freezing on the interior of the vehicle doors. This truck has already been into the Ford dealer and the door recall notice has been addressed and fixed per corwin Ford. The problem has not been resolved and continues to this day in an extremely dangerous state. I was advised there was nothing else they could do to help the door suddenly and unexpectedly opening issue and that I should contact both Ford and NHTSA. This is a very dangerous situation as my son was driving home from the ski resort, the doors would not latch shut and a passenger nearly fell out of the vehicle. This is unacceptable and extremely disappointing. I feel this safety issue has not been handled by Ford motor company and I am very afraid to have my son drive this truck in this dangerous condition. Please contact me regarding this complaint as I can give further details on the issue and send videos of this issue occurring. When this occurs, there are no warning lamps present. Please see the attached repair invoice for the recall notice.
The door latches on some of the f150s, including mine, freeze under certain weather conditions. This presents the latches from opening. This can trap an individual inside in an emergency situation, or prevent someone from opening the door external to remove or address babies and children, which is an issue I experienced. Ford is aware of the problem, but will not repair unless the issue is replicated in an unrealistic environment. This leaves many owners at risk of a dangerous situation should the issue occur in a non-controlled environment. The inverse issue can also occur, where the door latches does not close properly and can cause the door to open during driving, and this has also been experienced. There are no warnings of the problem ahead of time.

Door latch freezing during cold winter months(every year) where temperatures drop below 32°f even after Ford recall done on both front door latches. Inability to open door, then after door opened there is an inability for door to latch until it warmed up.
The door locks freeze in the unlock state and doors will not close and lock. This is a recurring problem for several years. Door will not close and stay closed until the truck heats up.
Tailgate latch does not work all the time . Sometimes just drops open when driving.
Both rear doors would not open from the outside or inside. They were not locked. They just would not open using the handle inside, trying to pull up on the lock mechanism and unlocking and locking numerous times. The doors would still not open. A child and a dog were in the back seat. I could not access them from the doors had to bring them through the front of the vehicle, which was very difficult. Periodically one door will be ok to open, the next day the door will not open, may or may not depending on how the door feels like working that particular daynot open.

The door latches was not latching in cold weather until they are warmed up and then they latch. It is a safety thing for me and my kids and wife.
Took my vehicle to Ford dealership to have leaking sunroof checked, had it repaired for broken track, but the amazing things was the price that Ford charge me for the repair of the sunroof track which was $5507. 49, wasn’t really told why it cost me so much being that it’s a 2018. I do have the receipt, and has been trying to find a lawyer to try and recover some of my losses. Please let me know what I should do about this repair.
Front passenger door failed to latch properly. The door will not close when pushed shut. Door is available for inspection upon request. Multiple family members ride in the front passenger seat and this door failing to close and latch properly does cause a serious concern for their safety. I avoid putting any passenger in the front passenger seat because it's is completely random if the door will latch and shut or if it will pop open while driving. Problem was reproduced and confirmed by local dealership but disputed by them. Vehicle has not be inspected by manufacturer, police or insurance. There was no warning lamps or messages of the problem prior to the failure. The only message is that the passenger door is open which is a typical message when any door is opened when entering and exiting the vehicle. It is not a warning. Just a reminder. Doors shutting, latching and locking properly are a major safety concern that no vehicle owner should have to stress over. I cannot safely put my family in this truck knowing that at any moment the door will not latch or that it will open as we drive down the road.
Frame has rotted away.

The structural integrity of the hood and front bumper failed due to unsafe modifications performed by rocky ridge and endorsed by Ford motor company. The hood's structural reinforcements and crush zones were cut to fit a hood scoop, and sections of the front bumper were removed, compromising crashworthiness. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and I have documented with images. The modifications to the hood and front bumper compromised the vehicle’s crashworthiness, potentially increasing the risk of severe injury or death in a collision. The removal of structural reinforcements and crush zones on both components prevents them from functioning as designed to absorb and distribute impact forces during a crash, endangering all occupants of the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by an independent collision repair center, a Ford certified collision center and my insurance company usaa. Both parties have stated that the modifications to the hood and bumper are unsafe, and the insurance company has refused to authorize repairs that replicate the original modifications due to safety concerns. The vehicle has been inspected by my insurance company and a collision repair center. Both confirmed the safety concerns resulting from the modifications and highlighted that the affected components cannot be repaired or replaced without compromising safety. Images were provided to Ford motor company and inspected by Ford collision center manager. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other visible symptoms of the problem prior to the discovery of the modifications during a repair process. Ford positon statements and on target tech bulitens prohibit these types of modifications and were violated, then conceled so that the consumer would not be able to see them unless in an accident. Ford is citing that the time frame exceeds 24 months so there is nothing that they are willing to do about it. This is a failure to warn and product defect that impacts safety.

2019 f150 backup camera doesn't work. Ford recalled some 2019 f150's but not mine. I've noticed they are having a huge issue with backup cameras and was also told the same by the dealership. Seems as like they should be responsible for fixing mine too. 2019 supercab door locks freeze. Ford fixed under a recall. The recall worked for a year. Called dealer back last year Ford won't fix it again. It's obviously a manufacturer defect that wasn't fixed correctly on the recall. Seems crazy that I have to pay them to fix it again. The lock freezes open and you can't lock the door. It will open while driving.

Tailgate is corroding at the hinge assembly, due to aluminum body panel and steel hinges causing galvanic corrosion. Possible that the tailgate could fall off on the road from accidentally pressing automatic tailgate release on key fob if the hinge fails and/or in addition to a person getting hurt when opening the tailgate, or climbing in the truck bed, whie loading or unloading a heavy object should hinges fail. Ford engineering basically told me "OH well" and offered no help. I live in the rust belt. This has taken 7 years to show up.
My rear passenger window shattered. My niece opened the door and the glass shattered. The window pane was held together by after market tint. It then fell under the vehicle. The vehicle is available for inspection until Friday, July 27, when it is scheduled for repair. The safety of the passengers was putt in jeopardy sure to the nature of the incident.

Right rear taillight lens has water ingression. The dealer states that they cannot replace the lens under warranty because of a technical issue bulletin issued by Ford moter company that states that condensation is normal and that it should dissipate after a short period of time. Well this has not gone away. And after some time, it will start corroding the electrical connections for the lights and cause them to stop working. The dealer is telling me that it would no be covered under warranty until there is at least a quarter of water in the bottom of the lens. By that time the electrical connections for the lights will be damaged.
Another Ford f150 supercrew leak from the front cowling area into the passenger floorboards. This is a 2022 hybrid f150 supercrew built during covid and purchased March 9, 2022. There are too many reports online of leaks due to lack of sealing components where large aluminum parts meet. For example the fender and the cowling area. This particular leak is having a dealership spend 17 book hours at $215 per hour plus parts to fix a defect in workmanship. Ford is offering to partailly pay for the fix since the vehicle is 6000 miles out of warranty. The fact it is a defect in workmanship is not a consideration. It was never sealed. Thank you.
Tailgate keeps falling down while traveling down the road. This has happened several times. This time after it hit the trailer after backing it up at the end of the trip.
Weatherstripping on sunroof is deteriorating. This could affect the safety of the driver as well as any passengers in the vehicle if it was to start leaking. Furthermore, if water entered the cabin it could affect any electrical components that might interfere with the driving of the vehicle thus causing a safety hazard to any vehicles that would be nearby if this was to happen. The vehicle was taken to the local Ford dealership on 5/29/2024 for inspection. The repair was denied because the whole sunroof would need to be replaced in order to fix the weatherstripping. No one else has looked at the weatherstripping. It was first noticed on 5/24/2024.
Passenger side cowl seal failure. The passenger side cowl seal fails. When this happens water can enter the vehicle and pour into the bcm (body control module). Once water enters the bcm, it creates corrosion and will needs to be replaced along with the reprograming of all the keys. This is available upon request. My safety and the safety of others is put at risk because when water enters the bcm it causes the computer to short out. When this happens the horn will start beeping and the lights start flashing. This also sets off the vehicles security system. This happens when the vehicle is parked and turned off and when the vehicle is in motion. This puts people at risk because their security system will go off and will make owners think that their vehicle is being vandalized. While the vehicle is in motion the risk is that the horn is on and the lights are flashing making other motorists distracted and potentially causing accidents. The problem has been confirmed and reproduced by the dealer. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer and an new seal needs to be installed. There were no warnings until the issue started creating a very scary driving experience in which the horn was on and the lights were flashing. The only way to make it stop was to disconnect the battery rendering the vehicle unfit for the road.

Paint peeling off from roof area exposing bare metal.
Factory sprayed on bed liner is lifting. Under shield (factory skid place fxr package) constantly falling off.
Both rear passenger door locks failed while vehicle in motion, thus allowing doors to swing open while vehicle in motion. First occurrence drivers side rear door may 25, 2019, second occurrence may 1 2024. Replacement parts order from Ford to repair both times. No obvious reason for failures. Original parts on hand.

I have owned this F-150 since new and most of its life it has been stored indoors. Recently I noted that any time the vehicle is driven in the rain or left outside while it rains, the rear corners of the cab leaks water. The source of that water is a failed seal surrounding the rear window, which I diagnosed in my shop after removing the headliner and other trim in order to observe the leaking with some water and compressed air. The issue that I noted during the repair was that the airbags that are mounted above the rear passenger windows in the headliner on both sides of the vehicles wicked up moisture that had been caught by the headliner. They were both wet to the touch, which was concerning. Further, the airbag inflator which is mounted in the rear corner post of the vehicle and the seatbelt recoil mechanism both also showed signs that they also recieve moisture from this leak. The vehicle is out of warranty, so there is no manufacturer remedy for the issue unless I were to pay for a complete rear window reseal. I did not have a dealer take a look at this issue at this time. Multiple other owners of f150's of this age have had similar issues with water leaking into the cabin and leaching into the airbags, as described in numberous online forums.
Right door lock actuator/latch not able to lock or unlock. Similar to current recall for f150 raptors same generation model but 1-4 years older.

My 2020 Ford truck driver side door locks freeze when temperatures get below freezing. When this happens the door does not open and when I open it from the inside the door doesn’t latch. I have to use a bungee cord to hold the door closed if I’m going to use the vehicle. Also the rest of the doors don’t lock when driving the vehicle. I believe other year Ford trucks have had this issue and they also were recalled for a fix. I have had the truck to the dealer several times with no luck. The last time when the truck was under warranty they replaced the door lock actuator which didn’t help. I believe this is very much a safety issue and I shouldn’t even be driving this truck but I need it.
On [xxx] I took the truck to Ford dealer after noticing the front floor passenger side carpet was wet and door locks and electronic tire pressure indicator failed to operate correctly. Ford service dept found a/c drain was letting water back into passenger compartment and caused body control module (bcm) failure. Bcm was replaced after 2 1/2 months in the service dept. Returned on 8/26/24, 9/18/24, and 10/22/24 for same water intrusion problem. Different repair done on 10/22/24 to remedy problem. Service dept contacted Ford national office and learned this was considered a design flaw by Ford. Expected a recall will be issued. Remedial treatment for mold was applied because I had been smelling a vinegar smell in the truck cab which is typical smell for presence of mold. This is the primary safety issue I believe exists, but failure of body control module could cause other safety problems. . No recall issued yet.
F150 is experiencing interior leaking from the windshield and other areas that Ford is unable to identify the cause. This can cause visibility issues and damage to electrical components resulting in a safety issue. The leaking causes the floor mats to be wet, which have also caused my foot to slip off the control petals. This could cause an accident. Ford is not able to identify the source, they were able to reproduce the leaks in the firewall but can't identify the source. Ford doesn't acknowledge this is a major issue and has only offered to caulk and seal in the most common areas. It was in the shop for four days March 25-27 and 22-23 2024. There are no warning issues just went floor mats and visible water on the interior of my windshield which I demonstrate to the dealership.
Rotted and bent frame realized after purchase on February 22 at NJ car and driver (cadillacs plus) for $3500. 00 continues to stall and feels like it’s going to crack in two. Stalled a few times while driving and had to put it in neutral to start back up.

Tailgate periodically opens on its own.
Have had the rear door locks stop working during the cold, it would not allow the doors to shut and stay shut. I did have children in car seats in the truck at the time. After trying to get the locks to work for about 10 minutes they stared working again. Also have an oil leak that was discovered while having an oil change. I became aware of technical service bulletin: 23/2083, NHTSA id number: 10233594 (engine and engine cooling) and related the failure to the TSB. Called the dealership and they said they couldn't do anything about it because there was no recall for it. My truck is included in the vehicles from the kansas and detroit plants that are affected by a defective oil pan. The manufacturer is refusing to issue a recall.
