Throttle stuck at wide open throttle and would not unstick despite multiple attempts. Foot braked vehicle to slow down, shifted to neutral, keyed off, coasted to rest. Upon restart truck goes straight to wide open throttle. No issues or accidents. Truck has experienced a failure with the throttle sensing/throttle position, no check engine light.

I was driving down the highway when my truck lossed all throttle power. A wrench icon came up on my screen and I had to pull off the highway onto the shoulder. When I stopped the truck was shuddering really bad and wouldn't move. I turned it off and restarted it. The wrench went away and it would move again. I took it to a shop and they told me the electronic throttle body was stuck in the open position. This is the second time I'll be replacing the same part. First time was under warranty this time won't be. But when this part fails it is very dangerous. If it had failed while I was crossing lanes of traffic I could've been in a accident. You lose all throttle control when it sticks.

When the brake is depressed the engine accelerates (never know when this is going to happen). I have had three instances over the total 8 years (first owner). All three times the brakes are ineffective in stopping the vehicle. Two times backing out of my driveway (afraid that the truck would cross over my road and hit neighbor's vehicles or home. Once it occurred at a all stop intersection. In most cases I had to take the truck out of drive to stop it. I'm afraid it is going to cause serious issue with life and property. . Read more...

I had problems with the throttle sticking and I put my ob11 on and isaid code p2104 and p2111 . So icalled and they say its a well know problem. If you don't know what to do I can see some one get hurt so I think it should be a recall.
Consumer noticed that throttle was sticking, took to dealer, who ordered parts for it. When parts arrived, they did not fix vehicle. Dealer called Ford technical hotline. Dealer was told not to release vehicle , that it was a design error, and to give consumer a loaner vehicle. Ford gave consumer no indication when he would get his vehicle back.

On a number of occasions throttle sticks after acceleration. Accelerator pedal feels like it pulls away from drivers foot, accelerating more on it's own. Ford has been contacted.
