The vehicle fails to accelerate when coming of a turn, the accelerator pedal does not respond for several seconds, then the vehicle lunges forward. Ford was contacted and no fix for this problem. I think this is very dangerous.

•date/time: October 22, 5:11 pm •location: fulton, texas •symptoms: shifter stuck down/stowed; would not un?stow despite repeated attempts, power cycles, and multiple drivers •frequency: first observed on the date/time above; persisted through multiple attempts •component(s): power train (shifter/gear shift module), electrical system on October 22 at 5:11 pm in fulton, TX, the console?mounted power?folding shifter on my Ford f?150 lightning became stuck in the downward/stowed position and would not return to the upright (un?stowed) position. Because it would not un?stow, I could not select a gear and the vehicle was effectively inoperable. I pressed the shifter stow/un?stow button multiple times, cycled the vehicle power off/on several times, and had multiple drivers attempt to operate it. The shifter remained stuck each time. This appears consistent with Ford csp 25b09 (gear shift module failure to stow/unstow) and related TSB 25?2045 for lightning models describing symptoms such as “shifter will not stow/unstow” or “will not shift out of gear. ” after abandoning the vehicle for several hours in the not running state and then returning, I was able to unstow the shifter by pressing the button and drive away normally. This condition presents a safety hazard because the vehicle can become immobilized without the ability to select drive or reverse if the failure occurs in traffic or other unsafe locations.
Backup camera failure after dealer replaced entire interior main body harness.
Was listening to my radio in my 2018 f150 1min and the next the music stopped my phone stopped charging touch screen went black tried the soft reset nothing checked fuses nothing . Found out it’s my apim ive also seen where a lot of people are saying they have had the same issue with this and it’s not a cheap fix one guy said he works at Ford and done 15 in one day . Ford is suppose to be the best why isn’t there a recall on these . 98k miles and I have to spend $500-$1000 to be able to use my touch screen this is not right for anyone and this should be on Ford . Believe I might be switching over to Dodge now.

There have been multiple problems with the leadframe in the 6r80 model of transmission. I have had my speedometer go out and cause the truck to shift into 1st gear causing my wheels to lock up while im driving 60mph down the highway. Ford states on the campaign to be eligible it must be under 10 years or 150000 miles whichever comes first of the customer satisfaction program but I believe it should be considered a saftey recall. The vehicles should be eligible for this program well beyond 10 years for safety reasons. In the winter it will be even more hazardous. Myself or someone else could die due to the wheels locking up. I have researched and found many others with the same issue and this should be escalated to a proper safety recall rather than a csp.

At a stop light vehicle will turn off and nothing electrical will work. It will have to be restarted, while turning at low speeds the electronic steering completely stops working and almost hit another car. All electrical power failure until modules reset then will start. This all happens randomly so it could happen at any point and cause serious injury. Ford can't seem to find a repair for the intermittent issue.

When in reverse the backup camera goes to a clear image then randomly goes from a black screen to a green screen and then back to normal. During that whole process and chime goes off in the truck. A message is displayed on the dash but it disappears too fast. The dealership has been able to recreate the problem but unable to repair my truck because they can’t catch the truck doing that error while hooked up to their computer system. Happens about twice a week.
Vehicle lost all power and stalled while driving. Vehicle also stalled at idle when waiting at an intersection, and another time while waiting at a stop sign. No longer starts. Appears to not be receiving fuel and is returning code p0627 "fuel pump a control circuit / open" and will crank but not start. Required towing back to my residence. Fordpass sent a "service engine soon warning" stating "the powertrain control system has detected an electrical fault with the fuel pump and its associated wiring". The symptoms match those in 25v455 but this VIN number is not listed in the affected group.
Started driving, about 2 minutes in, I noticed an electrical burn smell, and turned to look in the backseat, and it was filling with smoke, and my two young kids started coughing. I rolled all windows down and pulled over as quick as possible, unloaded both kids from rear driver side door. Saw smoke billowing out from behind the car seat on the passenger rear side, so I circled around to that door and went to inspect, right before removing the car seat I heard a loud pop and took off running just to be safe. After about 5 minutes I returned to the truck to notice the entire back windshield was shattered, chunks of glass inside and outside of the truck.

When I started my 2022 Ford F-150 equipped with the bang & olufsen (b&o) sound system, a sudden extremely loud “sonic boom” noise came through the speakers without warning. The sound was so intense it caused immediate pain in my ears, and I am concerned about the possibility of permanent hearing damage. This occurred at startup, before I adjusted any audio settings. This is a serious safety hazard because: the volume level was far beyond normal operation. It caused physical harm (ear pain). Such an unexpected loud noise could startle the driver, leading to loss of vehicle control. I believe this defect poses a risk of injury and should be investigated.
On September 19, 2025, my wife was at the wheel of our 2025 Ford F-150 lightning (VIN: [xxx] ), a vehicle we had leased just months earlier on June 22, 2025, from sam galloway Ford at [xxx] . Traveling at a mere 15-20 mph when she was involved in a routine multi-vehicle collision (no citations were issued). No collision warning was sounded. The front-end impact triggered an instantaneous and ferocious eruption of flames from the truck's forward section. The vehicle was swiftly consumed in a raging inferno, leading to its complete and irreparable destruction. My wife narrowly escaped with her life, scrambling from the cab amid the explosive intensification of the fire while relying on the urgent assistance of bystanders to reach safety—mere seconds from what could have been a fatal entrapment. She endured profound terror, acute anxiety, and an overwhelming fear for her very survival in the face of this abrupt and merciless blaze. Responding emergency crews, including the fire department, pinpointed the origin at the vehicle's front end, aligning with hallmarks of a catastrophic battery or electrical malfunction. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Gear shift selector gets stuck in park, drive & reverse. Unable to move vehicle & blocking traffic for a period of time.
9/17 driving home. Light rain. Put the truck in slippery mode prior to starting my drive. Truck was actually slipping and seemed to be shutting off and on. Prior to me being able to pull off to the side of the road, the truck stalled and spinned out across five lanes slamming into the barrier.
Complete backup camera failure showing black screen. Third time system has failed.
See attached document for complaint.
I turned on the rear defroster to my truck. It was by mistake as I ment to push the max ac button. I didn't immediately turn it off. Instantly after turning it on I smelt a strong electrical/burnt small. About 30 seconds later we heard a loud pop. When I looked in the rear view mirror, I saw the back window had shattered. It was very hot to the touch.
Ford f150 1ftew1cpxffc58647, caught fire while parked and unoccupied. Princeton, TX fire dept was not able to identify cause and origin of ignition / fire. Vehicle is available for inspection. Vehicle caught firer while we where asleep. Vehicle was looked at by fire dept and origin of fire was undetermined.
Truck is brand new and keeps having engine failure. Truck is not driveable on multiple occasions. Multiple dealers have assessed and goes unrepaired. First dealer cleared light and did not repair despite loss of communication codes present.
Truck is stalling at low speeds or idle when in drive or reverse causing me to get stranded in turns or at stop lights. No check engine lights have come on and the dealership said to wait but it’s happening constantly. Occasionally the auto start stop will say it’s failed but the stalling occurs when it’s enabled and disabled.

Auto start stop. This has happened on several occasions where I will be traveling at highway speeds and my 2018 F-150 10 speed 10r80 transmisson with a 5. 0-liter motor has died while traveling. I have talked to Ford engineering reps, and they say they have never heard of this. I have done research into the subject and there have been hundreds of reports of the same issue. I have an appointment scheduled for Ford to look into the issue.
Rear view camera dows not function correctly, black screen, distorted screen, or no visibility. I indicated 9/1/2025 as the date but has been like this for longer.

I had driven the car about 15 residential miles to home depot and back. As I was driving into my driveway I smelled smoke and looked forward to see a puff of smoke coming out from the front, driver's side wheel well. I put the car in park and pulled the hook release control under the steering wheel. Suddenly flames were coming out the sides of the hood, about 12" high. I pulled the car quickly away from the house and trees. Put the car in park, as the flames were now engulfing the entire hood. I quickly got away from the car and called 911. The fire department is close to my house, yet by the time they arrived the car, including interior cabin, was fully engulfed in flames.
The incident occurred while entering a limited access roadway. I was accelerating and merging into the main lane of travel. As I was accelerating, the engine cut off and several warning lights appeared. The check engine light came on first, followed by the check battery light. As a result of the loss of power, the vehicle behind me almost rear-ended my vehicle. I was able to roll to the side of the highway to the emergency breakdown lane without engine power. I have subsequently had the car inspected by a mechanic. The root cause of the loss of power was related to a cracked fuseblock mounted above the radiator in the middle of the truck. The mechanic indicated that he has seen several of these fuseblocks failing due to cracks. Leading up to the incident, the truck has experienced intermittent issues starting. The engine will crank, but it does not run. After tapping the fuseblock mounted above the radiator, the engine would run.
The alternator failed at 60,000 ish miles. Specific mileage can be provided upon request. It appears this is a common problem as alternators and alternator parts are unavailable. I have had to order a custom alternator.
Previously had the vehicle diagnostic at georgia lina automotive into which I can provide the diagnostics later I was advised that it may be a internal issue dealing with the instrumental cluster a continuously battery warning flash on the dash panel. I was also told that it may be a electrical problem that even cause a fire internally which may damage the vehicle. I was told that out of pocket calls would be $1,956. 05 I reviewed all of the issues that are considered or recall and wiring was most definitely listed under recall versus warranty. I've most recently had the issue of the powertrain warranty for the transmission taken care of under the customer satisfactory program. Unfortunately they did not have this particular issue of the instrument cluster listed due to faulty wiring. Now there maybe many others that face the very same issue, for it seems to also affects the bluetooth connecting with phone under sync. And I am submitting this complaint in a better hope for for the review by your board or committee to conduct their own independent investigation which may makes the difference not only for me but once again for many others. I don't know if there's window. Past the 15 years if a vehicle has been previously purchased such as myself and there was a recall for this particular issue does the manufacturer allows the new owner a grace period as a courtesy which I believe would be appropriate as well as deemed it in the respect of hospitality. I thank you for hearing my complaint hopefully once again it makes the difference not only for me but for others as well. Your time and consideration is highly appreciated, respectfully submitted.

This is the 2nd time this has happened in 2 years. I have my truck turned off completely and locked and go to get back in it a few hours later and I open my door and the gas from the airbag has completely filled up the cab of my 2015 f150. I turn the truck on and it’s like it’s been in a wreck, all the lights on the dash are on, and it’s saying my airbags are deployed which the gas that fills the airbag did deploy, and it keeps telling me to contact 911. How does this keep happening without Ford making a recall or not taking responsibility. It could seriously hurt or I hurt me or my family.
Fuel pump went bad causing the pump to overdraw electricity on the electrical circuit which melted the fuse in the fuse box. The fuse and fuse position was melted beyond being able to use this again. It could have caused a fire in the engine compartment if the circumstances were different. My mechanic reported that he's seen some of these melt the whole fuse box, creating major damage and a major fire hazard. He reported there is a temporary service bulletin out for this issue, so it seems like the manufacturer knows its and issue, but has not chosen to do anything about it.
Vehicle: 2021 Ford F-150 component: exterior lighting – daytime running lights (drls) / headlights (high beams) safety concern: vehicle visibility and forward illumination both daytime running lights (drls) on my 2021 Ford F-150 have failed completely. After the drls stopped working, the high beams also became inoperative, leaving only the low beams working. The Ford dealer attempted a repair by replacing the control modules, but that did not fix the issue. They advised that the entire headlight assemblies need to be replaced. However, these assemblies are very expensive, so I have not replaced them yet. I am currently limited to using only the low beams. Without drls, the truck is less visible during daytime driving, increasing the risk of a collision. Without high beams, nighttime visibility is reduced, especially on rural or dark roads. This failure affects federally required lighting functions, compromising safety in both day and night driving. The problem is not normal wear: these are sealed led assemblies that should last the life of the vehicle. The fact that both assemblies failed strongly indicates a manufacturing or design defect. Owners face high out-of-pocket costs because the only fix offered is full assembly replacement. Other 2021 F-150 owners have reported similar failures of drls and headlights online, showing this is not an isolated incident. I request that NHTSA investigate this issue as a safety defect and require Ford to issue a recall to replace the defective headlight assemblies at no cost to owners.
The rear light bar in the tailgate that also includes my back up lights is defective. The light bar was defective at delivery of vehicle and this is the second time this light bar has been deemed defective by a Ford dealership service department. The first repair on this defect was covered under a recall. This issue is a safety concern as it causes the rear light bar to flicker on and off and it has disabled the back up lights. There was no warning lights or alerts, I was pulled over by law enforcement and given a verbal warning to resolve the issue. The vehicle is currently at red mccombs Ford in san antonio, TX and Ford is denying any issue with the vehicle.
Truck is rough idles and stalls when idling and moving at low speeds. It happens at stop lights or low speed turns leaving me stranded in intersections no check engine lights have shown up but a auto start stop message appears on the dash.
Well I went to put my truck in reverse and turn the wheel it shuddered and quit and restarted. This morning I was sitting wnd everything flashed and went off and then come back on. Popped ip service advancetrak.
Loss of power to dashboard and all accessories while driving. The engine and transmission continued to operate until the vehicle could be parked in a safe location, and the vehicle could not be started again. The issue was reproduced by a dealership and repaired by changing a faulty apim module. No other inspections have been performed. After the repairs, the security alarm randomly engages and sounds the horn.
Fords sync system fails to connect to internet and won’t update resulting in transmission failing to relearn as you drive.
