I got in the truck this morning and left the house, turned on rear defroster, and about 3 minutes later I heard a loud "pop"! I stopped and looked around but didn't find any since it was still dark out but once the sun came out I saw my rear passenger window, right above my daughter's child seat was shattered. Luckily she was not in there. I have spoke with dealership and they have denied any knowledge of this happening, but a simple search here and on the Ford forums show plenty of consumers having this problem. This should be a recall!.

I am 6'5" and wear size 16 shoes. With my size and the distance to the pedal my legs go a little to the side and my shoe is at an angle to the petals lets say 30 degrees. I wearing typical work boot (like in Ford commercials) which the laces have pegs the shoe laces go around. These pegs are the same as all work boots (red wings - $300 boot). What happened is because the brake pedal has a thick rubber pad that stretches around the metal brake pedal and leaves a ridge in the back of the pedal all the way around (so the rubber fitting goes over it like a shower cap). Also the truck is an automatic and the break pedal is very large. While backing up giving just a little gas my boot shoe lace peg got trapped behind the brake pedal and was holding my foot on the gas pedal depressing it down. Because the rubber ridge runs all the way around my pedal (as designed) I could not move my foot to the side of the brake pedal to release the gas. Because of the thickness of my foot when I pressed the break with my other foot, it moves the gas pedal down at the same rate as my foot is trapped, so the more you press the brake the more you give gas at a ratio that does not let me stop the vehicle. (note I use only one foot for the gas and brake normally but with my right foot trapped I had no other choice but to use my left foot to brake and try to get it the truck out of gear . I could not do anything in time and hit a stationary building. If someone was behind me, they would have been killed. The only other way I could have gotten my foot loose is to depress the gas pedal which is not an option in a lot of situations because it would make the speed of the impending impact faster and harder. This is a design flaw that traps work boots and at certain times and causes loose control.

While my truck was parked in my driveway, we had a very bad tropical storm come through, when I went to get in my truck I noticed that my back seat was wet and the back of my head lining was wet and had water spots on it. So I took my truck to the dealer thinking my rear window was leaking, but they told me that it was my third brake light and the seal around it was bad. So instead of it being covered under the trucks warranty they told me I would have to pay to get it fixed plus pay for my seats to be cleaned from the water damage. Because it is still raining I did not have no choice, but I think that if Ford have had all these complaints about the same problems happening to other vehicles, they should have a recall and be responsible for paying for the repairs and water damage caused by their manufacturing defect. We pay to much money for these vehicles to have to put with a company that knows they have a problem and want do nothing to fix it, but makes the customer suffers and pays the price for their neglect.

water leak from ac has flooded the passenger floor pan and all associated carpeting and padding. Significant health hazard exists in warm climates due to the proliferation of respiratory hazards including but not limited to legionnaire's disease. The item should be a recall for this reason. I have lost use of my truck due to the inability to sufficiently dry the padding - I have had the vehicle drying for one week in hot florida sun to no avail.

While attempting to accelerate onto a highway my vehicle sputtered and I was unable to get up to speed in a reasonable amount of time. Fortunately I was on a 4 lane highway and the approaching vehicles were able to avoid me by pulling into the passing lane. I brought my vehicle in for service and a corroded fuel pump control module was responsible for the hesitation. According to my mechanic, he categorized the problem as defective design. The module is mounted in a area susceptible to corrosion. This is a relatively easy fix however in my case the spare tire carrier had to cut off to access the module.

I have owned this truck since 2004, no serious issues. This past Friday I noticed power was still going to my truck when it was turned off. The power accessory relay was clicking vigorously then stopped, no power inside my vehicle. I started the truck and everything worked except for the radio. I went for a drive than and then the reverse lights came on the door buzzer was going off, as I went to stop I heard a grinding noise occur than stopped. Was able to get it home. I have 30 years of mechanic experience and tried to find a possible short. When I removed the passenger side rocker panel I found the harness covered in rusty water. Now doing research on the internet, I have seen hundreds of people complaining about this issue, that Ford wont cover. It turns out many people had to have wiring harness replaced costing thousands. While conducting my research I have found out water is leaking through the windshield the rear window and wiring harness that travels through the firewall. Please help, Ford will not admit to their mistake.
My complaint is in regards to a Ford f150 series truck. The undercarriage and all parts under the truck are rusting out. Brakes/rotors just replaced and dealership stated that the thumping noise was due to the brake falling off of the truck. This is a very big safety issue and when contacting Ford, they stated that there was no recall and there was nothing that they could do about it. This is also along with the rusting of the doors and door frames and peeling paint issue that Ford has yet to take care of customers for this known issue. When calling Ford directly, they state they are very sorry, but yet they do nothing about it. Does someone need to die first before a recall is done like the issue with the cruise control deactivation switch that caused fires and an ederly woman and child were killed?.

I own a 1998 Ford 150 pickup and the gas tank straps have rusted through and it is dangerous. I have been told that there is a recall from Ford but when I took my truck to the Ford dealer I was told that if a recall was on the news that it many be a year before the recall letters are mailed. Is this true? I worry because how many people may lose their lives over the year it takes to get the letters mailed out. . .

1998 Ford F-150; simply was driving and the spare tire hoist cable broke dropping the spare. Cable broke at point where lug and cable come together at the lug that holds the bracket underneath the spare tire. No obvious corrosion noted at this location or on the remainder of the cable.
1-severe corrosion of fuel tank straps. The rear strap is completely rusted through, resulting in the tank being held up by the front strap. The skid plate is keeping the tank from falling down. Luckily I noticed this while checking the air pressure in my tires. I will be getting new straps this week to do the repair myself. I will keep the old straps. 2- brake pressure switch on master cylinder leaks. This causes the cruise control to be inoperative. Brake fluid leaks out onto the wiring. This vehicle has had the repair for the recall on the wiring harness. I believe that the leaking brake pressure switch also creates a fire hazard as it could potentially cause a short in the wiring. I will also obtain and replace this part.
