Four problems related to emission control have been reported for the 1999 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Poor design lead up to the failure of the exhaust manifold bolts. Parts were replaced at my cost. Truck was leaking untreated exhaust fumes, before the repair.
While driving 90 mph on way to hospital vehicle stalled twice. Dealer replaced 4 sensors, camshaft sensor was one of them.
Fuel valve is leaking fuel back into cooling system which is next to battery. This causes fuel vapors to enter through vents while driving. Had taken vehicle to dealership on 04 oct 01 and had it repaired. However, problem has now reappeared.
Recall 99v311 000/fmvss 301 concerning fuel emission control valve. Dealer refused to honor recall . Dealer informed consumer that they would call manufacturer, and manufacturer would call consumer within 3 weeks. Thus far, no call received. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter. Owner took vehicle to another dealer, and as soon as the parts come in they will repair the recall.
