One problem related to emission control has been reported for the 2000 Ford F-250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
During routine maintenance, it was noted that the fuel vent tube was not connected to the fuel vapor collection canister inside the engine compartment. The unconnected opening of the fuel vent tube was within close proximity of the engine exhaust manifold. This condition could potentially lead to a fire and/or explosion due to ignition of fuel vapors released within the engine compartment. The deficiency was easily corrected by the owner by completing the connection to the fuel vapor collection canister.
