1 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 03/25/2025

Electrical system fails every day. It affects the engine, transmission, radio, windows, gauges. Wiring issue causes the radio to just go out, windows stop working, all gauges stops working, the transmission doesn't shift right, engine doesn't run right. Yes vehicle is available for inspecting. Engine cuts off and won't start back, leaves you stranded side the road. Truck stalls in front of other vehicles. Windows won't roll down when it's 100 degrees inside truck. Fuel gauge doesn't let you know when there's no fuel again leaving you stranded beside the road. Other gauge don't work could cause more damage. Yes it has been inspected my mechanic and he said there are wiring issues. No warning lamps or anything now but the wrench light has came on allot. There is a wiring recall on this year truck but said mine doesn't fall under that recall and I don't know why because I'm having this issue.

2 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2024

Wrench light comes on, but truck goes into limp loses power very dangerous don't know if it's going to cause me to be rear-ended, steering goes back and forth right to left can't hardly hold it in road.

3 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2022

Transmission has a hole in it. Linkage inside broke and caused hole on case. Can’t use item for a core due to this. Happened while driving home from just across town.

4 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/27/2019

On deceleration the engine stalls after driven for 10-15 minutes. The check engine light comes on. I don't notice the stall until I apply the gas pedal. A couple of times I was turning, I had to slow down severely to give me more time to turn( no power steering). I almost had an accident several times. The code was a throttle body code p2104. I replaced the throttle body. After a few months the stalling occurred again. This is dangerous. At this time the stalling hasn't happen very often but the code is still there, now I have to smog this vehicle. I see on the internet there have been other people with this condition.

5 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 06/10/2015

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-250. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, placed the gear in neutral, restarted the vehicle, and was able to resume driving. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic (bolan transmission shop) who diagnosed that the transmission was burned and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

6 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/27/2013

Regular driving on open road , no harsh conditions - power loss, without any warning - no engine lights or warnngs - sudden decelleration , jerky response more decelleration - limp off ramp , limp home. Turbo sounding whiny and different , no response to added pressing on gas , nor stop , restart. Has been evaluated at dealership many times and many problems corrected, paid for yet nothing works - regular maintenance is preformed on this vehicle , much care is taken by owner. Very dangerous condition will cause a wreck , can no longer endanger lives, we do everything the dealers ask and condition returns. Must evaluate at new dealership and whether or not can keep. I am getting post traumatic stress from this vehicle and it's lack of unreliable transport . I fear getting into the car for any distance - if I have to return to the bank , I must advise them not to re-sell liability reasons and inform them of chronic lemon problems in this model f250 6. 0 Ford truck .

7 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/27/2010

Truck equipped with snow prep package. Reverse failed while plowing. Transmission needed to be rebuilt for over $2,500, mechanic said the case had a crack in it and the snap ring/reverse planetary failed. Research online shows this is a known issue: "customer satisfaction program 05b27". The Ford dealer I bought it from closed, I will be contacting Ford corporate offices for a resolution.

8 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 09/03/2009

Severe front end wobble causing engine to fail, all power is lost on the vehicle according to Ford ficm harness was bad they replaced it now the abs light indicates a problem with the brakes. . . . . . No repairs yet vehicle still in shop.

9 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2006

2005 f250 sd diesel 6. 0 pick up _ chronic issues with front end shimmy, near uncontrollable at times. Dlr says buy new steering stabilizer, air pressure in tires, etc. TSB is in place, but dlr states nothing wrong? 2 turbochargers, ungodly amount of egr replacement, oil pump issues, oil leaks. Bad engine situation, 5 major warranty claims on issues. Vehicle only has 77,000 miles in non-commercial use. Stranded owner numerous times, but Ford says nothing is wrong. Solution from Ford - we will give you a 200,000 mile 7 year warranty at n/c. Problem is, most issues relate to California emission failure by Ford under certification on emissions, and following recall on computer reset. Truck no longer gets 570 foot lbs of torque as advertised, and 2 separate dealers were only able to obtain 510 ft pound of torque, because of recall on emissions violations. Request full investigation of emissions violations, mandated by state of California. The consume purchased vehicle base on advertised claims of power, but submitted test data to state of California that failed under cal air res board follow up test. Consumers did not get what they paid for.
