4 Tire problem

Failure Date: 05/31/2009

I own a 06 f250 sd, and everytime I hit a small bump in the road when doing 65+ speed I get extreme shaking. I got a letter from Ford recently about the shimmy thing, and I tried what they said and adjusted the tire pressure but I found this does not work I still get it. It said in the letter that you all approved this but I don't see how you could let such and unsafe thing still be on the roads.

5 Tire problem

Failure Date: 11/20/2008

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-250 sd. The vehicle has pro competition xtreme a/t tires, size 37x13. 5 (na). The tires were purchased aftermarket in 2007. While filling the tire with air, the contact noticed cracks in the tread of the tire. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The dealer called pro comp and they stated that they could reimburse him for $100 towards a new set of tires. The tires cost approximately $450 per tire. The tires were not included in NHTSA campaign id number 06t009000 (tires:tread/belt). The contact has all the necessary documentation, if needed. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 30,000.

6 Tire problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2006

I had a flat tire on my 2004 Ford f250. I took the lug bolts off but the tire would not come off of the axle. I called the dealer and they told me to get under the truck and hit the tire with a sledgehammer. This has to be very dangerous, particularly since the truck was raised up on a jack. According to the Ford dealer this is a very common problem with Ford trucks. I believe that this is a very hazardous situation and should be corrected.
