Equipment problem #1

Back window has dropped 1/4 to 1/2 inch to the right. And is not in alignment. Safety concern that window could fall out or pop out during accident. No reason for window to just drop. Believe not installed correctly or sealants have failed cause of defect and window to drop and separate molding down to become detached right side. See pictures attached.

Equipment problem #2

I was driving on I-77 wv turnpike when suddenly my moon roof shattered. No other vehicles were around and no overpasses in sight. When I pulled over, the glass was raised as if the blowout came from inside the vehicle. It sounded like a gunshot went off inside my truck. Vehicle has been repaired. Replacement glass was $1,800. 00.

Equipment problem #3

Both the driver and passenger mirrors will not fully adjust. The mirrors need a different adjustment for standard driving and when towing a travel trailer. Neither mirror will properly adjust for towing and non towing applications. The lack of proper mirror adjustment causes a safety issue as the driver cannot see things in their full scope due to the mirror misalignment. I have almost had two accidents due to the mirrors not being able to be properly adjusted. Ford is aware of this issue on 2017 to 2023 f150, f250 and f350 trucks with the tow mirrors. Ford has issued a special service message#51829. Ford has a cleaning procedure they wish to be done as part of the diagnostics but Ford and the Ford dealer will not release this information. Ford is attempting to block warranty claims related to this issue. I believe they are doing this so they will not have to issue yet another recall! I spoke with a Ford dealer this morning and they stated that they had no knowledge of the ssm51829 or the mirror cleaning procedure. Even though the truck is under the Ford warranty, they would require a $250. 00 dollar fee just to inspect the problem.

Equipment problem #4

Hi. I took my 2021 f250 6,7 to the Ford dealership as it was having trouble starting, and just wasn’t running great. They changed the batteries, and told me it was a nox sensor. So I went and got my truck to fix the sensors myself; because they wanted to charge me close to 3 grand. The next day I got up, lo and behold it wouldn’t crank. I had to have it towed back to the dealership. I tested codes before I had it towed, and took a video of it not cranking. The following codes showed. P2291 pcm - injector ctrl press too low - engine cranking p2209 pcm - nox sens heater sense circ range/perf bank 1 sens 1 u029d pcm - lost comm with nox sensor a p2535 pcm - ignition switch on/start pos circ high u300a bcm - ignition switch it’s been in the shop a week , they called Friday saying it was starting, and there was nothing wrong with it. So I replied with all the codes, and told them there was definitely something going on. So they checked it again Monday and it wouldn’t start. Now today (Aug 5 tues. ) they say it may have a vacuum leak. Although non of the codes point to vacuum leak. I have no idea what to do now.

Equipment problem #5

This vehicle is subject to two open safety recalls for which no repair remedy is currently available from the manufacturer: 1. Recall 24v957 (24s78) Dec 20, 2024 involves the high-pressure fuel pump and powertrain control system. The recall states the fuel pump may fail and cause extended cranking/no start or loss of motive power while driving. Loss of motive power while in traffic or while towing increases the risk of a crash. The manufacturer has stated that parts and/or software are not available to repair this defect. The vehicle is regularly used for towing a recreational trailer, which increases the safety risk if loss of power occurs during operation, especially at highway speeds or while merging. 2. Recall 25v686 (25sa8) oct 10, 2025 involves the 360-degree/rear-view camera system. The recall states that the rear camera image may become dark in certain reversing situations when front and side cameras are exposed to significantly more light than the rear camera. Reduced visibility while reversing increases crash risk, particularly when maneuvering a large pickup truck. The manufacturer has acknowledged both recalls but has not provided a repair remedy within a reasonable timeframe. The powertrain-related recall has remained unresolved for an extended period. The vehicle has not been repaired because the manufacturer states parts/software are unavailable. At this time, the defect conditions have not resulted in a confirmed failure event, but the vehicle continues to be operated with open safety recalls that cannot be remedied. The safety risk remains present due to lack of available repair. Due to the prolonged unavailability of a repair remedy for a recall involving potential loss of motive power, I am unable to safely use the vehicle for its intended purpose of towing, as doing so would increase the risk of a crash if the defect occurs.

Equipment problem #6

Door latch sensor on rear passenger has failed. Says door is ajar when door is latched correctly. 300 miles out of warranty and they would not cover it.

Equipment problem #7

While driving, rear window spontaneously exploded. Entire glass broke out of frame. Not while hitting bump or any other unusual concussions made to vehicle. No rear defroster on. Car has under 5,000 miles. We had for over 2 years, only used rarely.

Equipment problem #8

Head light housing retains moisture on the inside of the lens both headlights on truck. May be causing shortage of the wires.

Equipment problem #9

Rear window across back of cab shattered for no apparent reason while traveling down the road. Contacted dealership and Ford warranty and they said this was not a warranty issue. The truck only has 13,000 miles. I feel this is a defective product .

Equipment problem #10

When towing a trailer, the trailer brakes stop working. The brakes, using the pedal and lights all work perfectly on truck and trailer. But if you squeeze the brake control paddles, you immediately get a trailer disconnected message and although all lights still work, the brake controller does not. Then sometimes, just driving and perhaps stopping at a gas station, the trailer brakes also stop working and you don't realize until going down a hill. This has happened multiple times. I start out just fine and then ?.

Equipment problem #11

6/25/22 around 5:30pm, my 2021 f250 7. 3 gas engine with 10k miles experienced sudden unintended acceleration. At mcdonald’s pickup window foot firmly on brake pedal, my truck felt like it was being pushed away from window. Truck got up to speed of approx. 5 mph and moved forward around 30 feet, shifted truck out of drive and rpms when up to 5k. Foot was on brake pedal the entire time. Turned truck off and walked around truck to confirm no damage, problem has not yet happened again.

Equipment problem #12

I have tried multiple times to get autonaton Ford in union city georgia to rectify these issues. They have claimed they don't have an autobody shop to complete the required repairs. At one point, they had my vehicle for almost 2 weeks and they still did not complete the repairs.

Equipment problem #13

Tailgate realize button in cab also on remote works while vehicle is in motion. While reaching to adjust my pedals while towing on the highway at approximately 70mph tailgate button was pressed, allowing my payload to full all over the highway. This could easy result in injury or death to others traveling on the highway. Also, in certain states including florida, children are aloud to ride in beds of pickup trucks.

Equipment problem #14

The truck has has a vibration from the rear of the vehicle coming from either the drive shaft or within the rear end assembly. The vibration begins at 67 mph and goes away at 70 mph, comes back at 72 mph and goes away at 75 mph and then comes back at 77 mph. I have not driven the truck beyond the third vibration speed. My concern is that something mechanical has a problem and there is no way to determine when and to what degree it will fail. Extensive testing has been done by the Ford dealership with the assistance of Ford technical and they as yet cannot determine the cause. Furthermore, Ford and the dealer do not wish to try any further to find the cause. The dealers solution was to tell Ford to buy the truck back. Fords solution was to offer and extended warranty. I travel across wide expanses of desert in arizona and California. If the truck fails while crossing the desert, I would be in a serious health jeopardy.

Equipment problem #15

Purchased a new truck and it had a open recall. I found out when I installed first pass. It popped up in message. We also had damage on truck and they refused to pay for it. We had to turn in insurance. They sold 3 other trucks same time with open recall.
